I love this thermostat. The room sensors work great and this is what sold me on this unit. It's also nice to be able to control your thermostat from your phone.

My 70 year old home is loving the Ecobee!

Best money saver ever!

I installed the Ecobee3 first on my second-floor FAU. I knew that we had some differing room temperatures. I would never have guessed that it was almost a 7-degree difference. My Thermostat is located at the top of a staircase and regulating the hallway kept the FAU cycling every 10-15 minutes. After install with 2 extra remote sensors, 1 for each bedroom, my FAU doesn't cycle but maybe every 30-45 minutes and runs much shorter. This stat can make the ultimate difference for cold/hot spots in your home. It can be programmed to read sensors in different areas... Amazing best money I've spent in a long while.... Suggest buying at least 3 sensors,... Trust me you'll love it!

Great new Wifi technology

I love how easy this new thermostat is to operate. The fact that you can control it from your phone is especially nice when you have more than one floor.

Sensor system is must have

Easy install and set up. I was evaluating Nest and Ecobee and I am glad I picked Ecobee. The second sensor is a great benefit. The hall where the thermostat is located would miss knowing when the house is occupied and put the system into "away" if it weren't for the extra sensor. The extra sensor is in our living room so it tells Ecobee that we're still in the house.

Amazing decision to purchase this!

I bought Ecobee3 (Homekit enabled) and have been using this for almost a month and happy with my decision to buy and install this. My home had a programmable thermostat which according to me was very difficult to understand and use. I almost hated it and there were rooms that used to be cold and some rooms more than warm. Read some reviews about ecobee3 and decided to take the plunge. I am not very good at DIY but read some instructions online, watched installation videos and read the manual too...

Ecobee 3 is an excellent thermostat. It's ability to monitor the temperature in multiple rooms is perfect for a multi story home. It is also the only smart thermostat that works with alexa.

Amazing Product well worth the investment

Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I love the ability to sync with other devices via HomeKit. This was my first device in the start of making my home connected. Installation was a breeze. Ran on to a snag with my zone control board, called in and the tech support departed helped tremendously. They are EXTREMELY knowledgeable This is a must buy for anyone looking to have a connected home or just a huge savings in their heating and cooling bills

Great thermostat for the price

I've had this for 6 months now, and it's much better than my old dumb thermostat. To be fair, it replaced a thermostat that could only set the temperature and didn't have any scheduling features, but the ecobee3 is so much better than most other thermostats. I purchased this through People Gas. I love this thermostat. The best part is that you can download the ecobee3 to your phone. If you forgot to turn the heat down or the air up, all you have to do is go to your phone. It's like magic.

Ecobee 3 is better than Nest

I had been using the Nest for a few years, when I read about the ecobee. After using the Ecobee for a few weeks, I'm glad I decided to switch. I had actually planned to get a Nest thermostat for sometime, however, i was watching CNET's automated home series and saw they had replaced their nests with ecobees. I bought my ecobee3 in March 2016, taking advantage of the $100 rebate. I love a ton of things about the ecobee3 that the NEST can't compete with. The remote sensor, so I can put it downstairs in the family room and get a balanced comfort between floors. I bought one a few weeks ago and am absolutely enjoying it. Still a bit of a learning curve but I love having the ecobee right outside my bedroom as I check the weather right before getting dressed.
