Always makes the cut!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this Jig Saw since 2009. Did comparison with Bosch and felt that DeWalt won hands down. Convenient, easy to use, easy to adjust the base for any angle; convenient and predictable speed adjustment; accurate cuts. Super easy to install and change blades. I am home owner so reliable tools that last are for me. I have many DeWalt products and have had one cordless drill since 2006. "Guaranteed Tough" is no joke.

No SKIL required

A little pricey but works so much better than the Skil product I've been using. The only issue is it could use a light or laser that would illuminate any pattern you may be following.

Great Jig Saw

I have used this saw several times now and it works very good, easy to change blades and cuts true. Does not cut angled unless you are holding saw canted.

Smooth and steady

Runs very smooth. Would be nice if it had a laser to make cuts a little easier. But overall it’s truly amazing.

Nothing but the tool so help me!

I bought this Jig Saw and heard that it was a Kit. What does that mean to DeWalt? Absolutely nothing. No blades, No accessories of any worth and certainly no quality in Service. The Jig saw didn't have a retaining screw for a saw rip guide. Something that I expect to be part of the Jig Saw. Their technical support didn't know where it was or what size it was. So sad that the DeWalt name has fallen on bad times.

Very impressed

Needed to make a round table top out of 2x6 pine lumber. I have been working with wood projects for years and owned a craftsman jigsaw. I knew this would be a real struggle for this tool. I own several Dewalt tools and decided it was time to try out their jigsaw. Boy am I glad I did, it cut that lumber so smooth and so easy I couldn’t believe it. I wish I bought this tool a long time ago. Here is a picture of the table.

Great Jigsaw

Works fantastic for my craft projects, cutting signs and chalk boards. I would definitely recommend this saw to other crafters needing a jigsaw.

Trigger issue; almost seriously injured!

This is a great saw. Zero complaints however because of some mold flashing that was left behind the trigger can get stuck and cause the saw to run when not expected. I was almost injured. Love this saw. Had I to buy again I would probably get the battery powered one but that has nothing to do with the quality...just convenience of use.

DEWALT 6.5-Amp T Shank Variable Speed Jigsaw

I admit I am a layman carpenter. I have had this saw a couple of weeks now and have used it several times. I think it is a great saw. I have been able to make cuts that I thought I could never make. I do wish it had a light on it shining on the cutting line, it would help those of us with older eyesight.

Jigsaw quality.

Bought for a gift. Bosch equal seems to have sloppy mechanism and blade wheel.

I’m really glad I decided to go with this model. It was exactly what I needed for my workshop and has been great for everything I’ve needed it for while doing furniture building and home projects!

Best Jigsaw I've owned

I own a construction company and I'm always searching for tools that are both durable and inexpensive. This project met both needs plus more. It's a great product and comes with the rare plastic dewalt carry case.
