Would RecommendThis is a solidly built tool that works extremely well. Very smooth while cutting. The built-in blower sort of works, but I still find myself having to blow some dust away myself. Changing out blades is quick and easy. I'm very happy with this jigsaw.

Would Not RecommendFrom all the dates on these reviews I’d say there’s not enough buyers for a up to date review. So I don’t think it’s worth buying one based on a 10-15 year old review.
1st Dewalt saw
Would RecommendRight out of the box, put blade to a length of 2x4 pine. I went through all the basic tool instructions and operations, from blade install and tug check, and worked my way through the saws functions. Blade positions, speeds, bevel positions, dust blower and it all functioned as expected with no issues. So far very pleased with my new saw. What a pleasant experience from my old, out dated single speed jigsaw.

Dust blower doesn’t work
Would RecommendIf the 5.5 amp will do buy it and save the extra money for a fan because the dust blower doesn’t work on the 6.5 amp. I have to slow down or stop cutting to remove the dust manually because the line is covered up. T blades lock it easy and doesn’t fall out. On one of the cuts it drifted off the center line , but not on all cuts. Low vibration and smooth cutting. Would be great if the blower really worked , and hopefully the drifting cut will not happen again.

Dust blower doesn’t remove dust from cut line
Would RecommendCuts are good , the only issue I have is the dust blower doesn’t remove the dust from the cutting line. Finding myself having to slow or stop cutting to manually remove dust. Saw blades lock in with ease and have not fallen out. If you need the higher 6.5 amp motor this is for you, however if the 5.5 amp will do, save yourself the money and buy a fan to remove dust.
