I agree... it shouldn't be called a "kit"

I'm disappointed... you'd think something called a Jig Saw Kit would come with at least one each of the basic types of blades. But the worst thing is the way the instructions show you how to use a dust port adapter that doesn't come with the kit, and doesn't even tell you how you might go about ordering one. I suppose it's called a kit because it comes in a carrying case. There is a small compartment in the case where you might keep the dust port adapter and blades once you've purchased them s...

Bought this to saw a sink hole in a 1-3/4 inch butcherblock countertop. Went thru it real smooth. Loved it.

Very good jigsaw

The DW331 has a very powerful motor and cuts through 2x4s like a hot knife through butter. The features are all great and the settings and controls are easy to use and intuitive. I’m very pleased with the purchase and I know I have a durable professional power tool that will last for many years to come.

No anti splinter device either

Just got this saw, opened and read the directions. My saw did not have the anti splinter device as other reviewers have stated. The paper manual is poorly written. I had no idea what they are talking about with the flush cutting blade and that you must remove the anti splinter device which is not there.

Where is the user manual

Guys, I just need a copy of the user manual since like a lot of us guys lose the one with the saw. The web site runs me around in a circle but will not allow me to find a users guide for the saw. Why is this such a problem.

Dewalt jigsaw

Cuts through wood with no issues. Only wish it came with a guide.

Not a “kit” just a jigsaw with a carrying case

Bought 12/18/20 at Lowe’s and Haven’t used it yet. However, I’m sure it is way better than the disposable B&D’s and C’Mans I’ve used in the past. I will say there is nothing in this that makes it a “kit”. Just a jigsaw with instructions, a carrying case, a piece of plastic described as an “Anti-Splinter insert” and another piece of plastic described as a “No-Mar Shoe Cover”. Easy to use

Long lasting and one of the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this jig saw for several years now and it keeps on ticing. I received it from my kids when we started a complete remodel of our house. All inside walls, load bearing and nonload bearing, and all sheetrock was replaced. I use it more than my circular saw. Over the years I have had most of the brands out there and have keep going back to DeWalt for the long lasting power tools.

Exactly what I was looking for.

I buy dewalt products exclusively and have had nothing but good luck with the tools that I have purchased. It’s actually kind of upsetting because I haven’t been able to update to the new 20volt system because my old 18volt tools have held up so well.

As good as expected.

I replaced a cheap Black and Decker with this unit. No comparison, the Dewalt feels solid, has no vibration, cuts very fast and accurate. The blower does a decent job of saw dust removal but not great, still had to blow on it. I like the orbital feature and the T shank blades really lock into place easily. Overall, I am very happy with this Jig Saw and would buy again if i had to. A light would be an improvement, but not a deal breaker.

Great Product

I just purchased this today. My last DeWalt jigsaw lasted me nearly 20 years. I bought it in 2001. I wanted to stay with a corded tool and decided to get this one. Really like the blower feature this model has. Dewalt in general has never let me down. I own anything from the 12" compound miter saw to the Lithium cordless drill. Not once have I ever been let down. I hope this new jig saw will last another 20 years like my old one did. I forgot to mention my last one was a factory refurbished tool...

Excellent if only came with blades

This is a great jigsaw. Love the angle options. But no blades? Not even one? And the blades available to purchase are not long enough when you end up angling for degree cuts. A little disappointed with that. But overall, great product.
