Dewalt 6.5 amp Jigsaw

Had an old Craftsman that just wasn’t getting it done, noisy, no power, etc. Saw the Dewalt saw and noticed the amps, checked my old saw and it was only 2.5 amps, and at least 35 years old. Time for an upgrade. The Dewalt saw is everything I had hoped it would be, lots of power, easy change blades, and easily to use. Did I mention almost all of my power tools are Dewalt. I really like yellow.

Incredible, Commercial-duty Jig Saw

Good saw

It’s very easy to use and makes smooth cuts. I’m very happy with it’s ability to make nice cuts while turning. Just a predictable tool.

Best Jigsaw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this saw for over a year, it has not disappointed and is a big upgrade to the last jig saw I had. One of my favorite features is the variable speed that is controlled through the trigger. It is very useful when doing cuts with lots of curves. Also, the no tool blade clamp makes switching blades very easy and the bevel adjustment is very useful for precise angled cuts.

Best you can buy without having to go online

I’ve used craftsman, blackandpecker, and makita. This is the best of all of those other ones. The base plate doesn’t slip loose, I wish it came with the vacuum attachment and I had a hard time getting to get the blade to stay in at first but it was good. I wish they sold it at Home Depot so I didn’t have to go through the sea of DIYer’s at Lowe’s and have to register online for them to give me 10% off for military discount. Solid Built and easy control

I bought this Jig Saw to replace my poor quality Craftsman jig saw. I like it a lot. Great hand control. The air blower is great to have. The anti-splinter device leaves a little to be desired. It doesn't fit well. Also the No-mar shoe cover can be problematic. If sawdust gets between it and the metal show, you won't get a true right angle cut. Be careful when using it. It would also be nice if it had a work light to see the cut. My eyes are getting old.

Great saw

Really like this saw and the features. Easy to use, not sure the extra money is worth it for the carry case though.

I have not had a chance to use it because it has been to hot in Florida for the past two weeks to work outside. I know it will be a good tool because Dewalt makes outstanding tools. I would recommend their tools.

Blade Problems Locking In

First, I apologize for not having a camera to download a picture for you to show you what I am going to tell you but, if you pay close attention, you should understand. In order to know what I am going to discuss you will need a blade that is made to fit your saw with a "T-Lock". I purchased Bosh blades and found one that no matter how hard I tried, it would not lock in. Has lots of power but is still light weight. Very little vibration and cuts quickly and smoothly.

Ok, i read all the bad reviews like always. I did my homework. Every bad review commented that the blades fall out, did not cut staight etc..Some were even by people who worked with wood for a living.
