Jig Saw

Planning to get a little bit more into woodworking but needed this type of saw for a specific wood cutting purpose. It performed flawlessly. DeWALT comes through again in their superb products. This jig saw is no exception. Hope to do a lot more in the future.

Defective out of the box

Good Power

I just picked this up and tried it out on a 2 inch thick pressure treated lumber. I was very impressed with the ease of use and obvious power this tool provides. I was so pleased with the handling that I asked my wife to give it a try and she cut the wood even cleaner than I did! Great Product

I must admit I am a huge fan of DeWalt power tools. 40+ years ago I bought a Craftsman jig saw, it was OK but not great. It finally wore out a couple of years ago. I was gifted a cheap $20 replacement after mentioning I had wore out my old one. Total junk, a Walmart no-name brand. This saw ROCKS! It's a little heavy, but no so much to be fatiguing on the wrist. My first Jigsaw!

Used for the first time today and love it. Ergonomic grip. Easy to load and unload blades. Dust blower works great. Carrying case has room for blades and extra stuff. Good product overall!

A tool that should be in every toolbox

This tool has saved me so much time saving hours in manual cutting, particularly in small places. So many ways I'll be able to use this that I hadn't considered in the past. Looking forward to having it as one of my go to tools.

Cuts Ply Like Butter

This is the most powerful motor in the Dewalt Jig lineup. I work mainly with veneer core plywood for home furniture projects, so I wanted a powerful saw that plywood gave little resistance to, meaning no splintering as I cut. in a practical sense, this is important because my blood pressure stays at a healthy level when my $96 a sheet plywood has smooth edges and no splinters. Solid Jigsaw

Put the jigsaw to immediate use on a piece of plywood that needed customized cutouts. Very intuitive to attach the blade, powered right through the cuts. Can't be beat for the price point, in my opinion. It was either this corded model or the 20V jigsaw, and I opted for this one for the additional power.

Versatile Saw

Great saw for detail work. Plenty of power. Have used on 1 1/2" thick stock. No tools required for blade change, oscillating adjustment, speed settings, and blade angle; super convenient. A great addition to saw lineup.

Using for long kitchen cuts ...

I was in two minds over if to get a Jig Saw or Table Saw ... accurate table saw is around $400 plus $120 minimum for blades ... $600 plus blades if you want decent sized fences. Given I am doing a kitchen remodel and I would not be using a table saw often enough to make it worthwhile to store (I have other saws), I decided on the Jig Saw.
