The hardware store didn't have the tool-only model in stock, but they did have this one, with the included 5Ah battery. I've only gotten a small amount of use on it so far, but it has been GREAT so far! Ironically, my UPS shipment was late so I used a hand held hack saw to slice into some 2x4...needless to say that day was horrible. When the circular saw came, i touched up the boards and this thing just quickly flies through 2x4. My hacksaw experience made me appreciate this that much more!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a few times and it truned out great. I feel it a lot safer due to brake feature than the old Rockwell circular saw. The rockwell I think it is dated about 1965 to 70's. I used that to cut the bottom of the door and cut both side of the bathroom door. Both door are solid wood. Thank you for the great product and look forward to use it often.

Ease of use

It was easy to use and exceeded my expectations in a saw for the price I paid for it.I have cut numerous boards and even rip cut plywood and 2x6 boards and never had to slow down. I would recommend this product. Also the power of the batteries are awesome.

Awesome tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this saw for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I leave a 6 ah battery on it and can cut for days. It has great power and feels good in your hand when you’re cutting. All of the controls are super easy to operate. Good tool.

I ended up getting a 60V battery for it and highly recommend anyone else doing the same. but overall great saw, does what it needs to and doesn't bog down, even when ripping boards with it.

Light weight and manuverable

Of course DeWalt is the best out there from my experience as a do-it-yourself homeowner for 20 years, and this saw has definitely proven itself. Light and quick to position, no cords to worry about, and precise cuts. No motor brushes to burn out, and easy battery swaps. Usually enough power for new wood, and easily cut my composite deck boards. Handy as it gets!

Awesome Saw

It’s got lots of power and of course being battery operated, very convenient. Especially on jobs were I’m 1000 ft from any power source if there’s any power at all. Definitely a great tool.

Lacks power burns through batteries

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loathe this saw I own Dewalts 6 1/2 cordless circular saw and like it a lot so I thought purchasing this saw-one for home one for work(construction)- it would be a step up but its not and being I work in construction ive used all makes and models of saws and this one is the worst if you are going to buy a Dewalt circular saw get the 6 1/2 or the flexvolt

Sweet Surprise

Blade and Battery installations a breeze. Explanation on blade types within manual was nice touch. Appreciate that. Bevel cuts and shoe adjustments were nice surprise, well done.
