Is this really Dewalt?

I got this to replace couple corded and cordless skill saws hoping I can get the precision and power I need to chew through 2x4s and 3/4 plywood. For that one purpose it's really good, very strong and works as expected. I love the brake. Couple issues that broke my heart: 1 ) The lower blade guard handle was chewed deep in the packaging and likely bent in transition. Smart Buy

This saw is easy to use and so handy. It is great as you don’t have to have an extension cord. The the 5 hour battery works great and does not add a bunch of weight

Nice

works as advertised. Built a small step out of 2X6 and 5/4 for the top. Cut like butter and the brake worked well too.

Great saw but definitely heavy with 5 AH battery..

This is an incredibly well built saw and was a substantial upgrade from my 6" 18V Dewalt. Only thing to be aware of is that with the 5AH battery it is quite heavy so if you were making some casual cuts on smaller pieces it is a little more awkward to move around. That said it has been a rock when ripping larger boards and is really performant.

PERFECT

I purchased this saw to add to my 20 volt collection. It loves wood. I cut 120 1x6 oak fence boards on one 5ah battery. Never did it bind or lug and still had power to spare. The only drawback is the safety switch. I understand the reasoning, but for a pro tool, it is not required.

Cut the cord and a ton of wood!

This saw delivers. I ripped 3 8’ 2x4’s at 45 degrees and still had a bar left on a 5 amp hr battery. Easy to handle and cuts very well.

Dewalt Power

Cuts through deck boards like butter, through 2x lumber with ease, through 4x4’s without a problem, and through 6x6’s with just a couple flips. Great depth, great bevel, easy to read gages.

Great Saw

Happy with the performance of this saw with the fine tooth blade. Was a bit surprised that it did not come with a battery, however the Dewalt Special which included one worked out.

Why did I wait so long!?

I've only recently started trading out my Porter Cable 20V tools, but the circular saw is one cordless tool I'd never gone with. Man was that dumb! So many times, up on the scaffolding, dragging a corded saw, or working out in the yard because it's a thousand degrees in the shop. This seemed like a logical place to start the migration and wow. Had I known how little I'd be giving up by go with battery power, I'd have sold that old Skilsaw a long time ago. Who am I kidding? I never get rid of any...

Nice saw

I wanted a saw that had a 7 1/4 blade and battery powered. With the bundle price and having Dewalt batteries it was a no brainier. It is light, has good power and easy to get in tight places.

Sturdy unit

The saw is very sturdy and cuts with precision. Not too heavy for a 7 1/4 inch saw and has a good feel to it.

Light weight Powerhouse

I bought this as a replacement for another brand of cordless saw. This is a night and day difference. It has no issue cutting lumber or ripping plywood. The battery life is excellent as well. Worked sheeting a garage all day on one 5ah battery.

Cuts like a corded saw

Bought this saw because of not wanting to run the generator with a corded saw. Very impressed by the power and accuracy of the cut. Yes you will use up your battery if you’re cutting a lot. Always a good idea to get extra batteries for any cordless tool. This saw will not disappoint. Glad I added this to my dewalt tool set.

Easy to use and Great power for a cordless

The power is great for a cordless saw, and the ease of use is it's two best selling points for me. I have remodeled over half of my home and this saw has done everything I have asked for and is waiting for more. I love it.

good saw

Cuts great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for occasional cutting when power isn't available but after using it my guys hardly use the corded ones anymore. Cuts just as good as a corded one.

Great Saw for the Money!

Does the Job...

Blade wrench is located where you don't worry about losing it. The blade lock works effectively. The saw slides over lumber effortlessly. This is a Grreat product and it was very affordable....

life changing tool

I use this saw almost every day and it has made my job so much easier. The power is great for most cuts and not having an extra cord around to trip on or get tangled up is always a bonus.
