power hungry

this is power hungry tool. less cuts per battery charge than any other cordless saw I have owned.

Disappoinment

I am a big fan of Dewalt tools and own many. I bought this because I hate managing cords. Unfortunately the blade tends to wander no matter what kind you use (I tried several). It also cuts like the blade is dull even when using a new blade. I then purchased the 60v version and experienced the same. Can't afford the Dewalt table saws so I have to go back to my corded HF saw. Disappointing because all of my other Dewalt cordless tools have performed superior.

underpowered

I used this a few times now. Yes it has a comfortable grip but thats about it. Very underpowered. Its nice because its cordless but when your cutting even thin boards. It feels like a struggle for it. If you do need one buy the corded version. Cheaper and you will have power to cut. I bought a miter saw not long after having this so it didnt get much use.

Dead after 20 cuts

I had high expectations. The saw was light and the adjustments were an improvement over my older DeWALT corded model. It is a bit of a power hog but that was to be expected. I was cutting 1x12 siding and it died after 20 cuts. The 5amp battery was fully charged but it will not start. When I manually turn the blade, it has a gravely sound as if a bearing is bad. It is worthless as all the service centers are over an hour from me and inconvenient. It would cost me a third of the product price for ...

20V 7 1/4" Circ Saw is exactly what I need

I use this saw daily and it performs evwrytime without fail. I love the brushless motor and the brake on it works flawlessly. Extremely quiet compared to my plug in dewalt commercial saw. Allows me to start nice and early on jobs and not bother the homeowners. Very pleased with this saw.

Work's Great!

It cut just fine. I liked the brake, so that the blade stops as soon as the trigger is released. Lighter than the saw it replaced.

buy a different saw

saw is setup very strangely.. almost like its a hybrid left hand right hand unit.. ergonomics of the saw is just pooooooorrrrr

Great product

Works great! Cuts through old dense lumber like butter. I would recommend a 4-6 ampere-hour battery to power this unit as the 2 amp-hour dies pretty fast.

Excellent saw, very powerful. I recommend buying at least a 5amp battery with it. Lower batteries get drained.

A solid tool.

I have five circular saws, all of good quality. I doubt I'll ever use any of the corded saws again. This saw, although not finished like a Festool, is well made, the shoe is thick and rigid, the bevel adjustment is solid and won't slip, and the power is sufficient to cut 1 1/2" hardwood all day. Just yesterday I made several crosscuts on solid Jatoba (very hard) butcher block countertops (with a rip guide) and the cuts were clean, square, and straight. I may never use an extension cord again. I ...

Nice to have a circular saw that can be used anywhere. The only downside is the battery needs to be fully charged before using as it does need the juice.
