What Customers Are Saying
This impact bit holder features a strong magnetic tip that securely holds bits in place, preventing them from falling out. The rotating outer sleeve allows for controlled and guided screw driving, while the dual impact zone absorbs shock and vibration to protect bits from premature wear. The sturdy, impact-rated construction is suitable for heavy use. Users report it helps prevent stripping of screw heads and extends drill bit lifespan, though the exact claims are difficult to verify. The main drawbacks are its bulkiness, which can make it harder to use in tight spaces, and the strong magnetic grip that can make shorter bits difficult to remove.

Would RecommendProduct appears solidly built. Casing spins so you can hold the hardware in place while starting to drive it. Held my bit solidly in place when driving. Good value for the price.Time will tell if it extends my bit lives.
Excellent item.
I was offered the chance to review this product. I was extemely excited once it arrived. It fits in all my drills, corded and cordless and hammer. I was super excited to use this with my Dewalt drywall screw bits. Perfect combination, the magnetic holder keeps your bit from falling out and the torque stuff inside ensured all my drywall screws sunk clean. Now a drywall bit is designed to wear out, but I expect I will be able to sink more screws before the drywall bit wears out. Love this ite...
Go-To Bit Holder
Would RecommendThe Crescent Vortex Bit Holder comes complete and ready to use out of the package. It does not come with bits - you supply those. The dual impact zone not only causes less reverberation, but it helps to save wear and tear on your bits. The magnetic tip helps to hold the tip in place. The outer sleeve of the bit holder can be held in use while the internal mechanism spins allowing for better accuracy. It’s a change up from my usual bit holder, but I think it’s going to work well on my home projec...
Great For Using Bits
Would RecommendThe main attraction is the ease of changing bits. In the past I rarely used bits because of the time involved switching them. I can’t attest that this will make your bits last longer, but I will not hesitate to use them now. I would have given 5 stars if it didn’t add length to my drill. It is solid and well made. I just used it to tighter a few hundred stews around the house and I had no issues.
Interesting but why?
Would RecommendI am only giving this four stars because it seem like the answer to a question nobody asked. This was received as a Lowe's review product. Had I been perusing the drill section I confess I would not have given this product a second look. I build stuff, a lot of stuff from my huge coach house to cars, so believe me when I say I am a tool junkie. That being said, what did I like. I liked the magnetic bit holder which is really strung. You have to yank the bits out with some effort, which is great....
Great addition to my impact driver set!
Would Not RecommendI’m not sure exactly what makes this little addition to my toolbox work, but somehow it seems to make my Milwaukee impact driver work a lot easier and it seems to sink the screws a whole lot faster. The unit is very well constructed and has a little weight to it which seems to balance out the driver better. As seen in the picture I used 2” deck screw for the test. My Phillips bit sunk it about a 1/2 inch below the surface of a 4x4 post almost instantly. It will continue to come between my b...
It’s different
Would RecommendOkay so at first I was so so. Thicker then any other bit holder so it’s going to feel different. Once I got to use it for a day or so i started to like it’s size and feel. The magnet is good and strong which is super nice, the bit doesn’t fall out. It feels well made and should last. Hoping longer then others since it is thicker. All in all give it a try, I’m very happy so far!
Great tool
Would RecommendThe bits fit in the tool very nicely. Even when driving long screws the bits stay retained in the bit holder and don’t slide out. The holder is magnetic so drywall screws stay attached to the bit.
Handy Tool, Minor Design Issue
Would RecommendThis magnetic bit holder is a great addition to my toolbox. It fits quickly into my drill and holds bits solidly and securely. It's great for getting into those smaller, tighter spaces. However, the snap ring makes it a it difficult to change bits on the fly. It's a great tool, and I'd give it five stars except for the snap ring issue.
Very nice bit holder~
Would RecommendI have had several bit holders over the years, and I have thrown many away. Magnetic is good, but magnetic with a rotating ring that you can HOLD ONTO is BETTER! Especially when you are in a tight space and need to use an "electric screwdriver" to do the job.
Solid - Necessary
Would RecommendDefinitely a pickup that I needed - I’m a big fan of the construction and durability. As soon as I received it, I opened it and put it to work. Has a nice, solid feel to it and seems like it will last me a long time.
Want it to last...this one will.
Would RecommendI highly recommend this bit holder!! This one is for you if you need to hold onto your drill bits and want them to last a long, long time. I’ve owned a few bit holders in my life, and to be honest…this guy can be described with one word— sturdy, versatile, and well made. Okay, three words. If you’re a builder—you’re gonna love this Crescent Vortex Bit Holder. It can be used with an impact driver as well as an electric drill because it is made of S2 Steel, which is “Shock-Resisting Steel.” ...
Great bit holder, heavy duty
Would RecommendThis bit holder works as advertised. First - the magnetic holder inside is great. Has a strong grip on the bit, I’ve have 100% confidence that nothing is falling out if it. The holder itself has a spinning metal jacket you’re able to hold onto for added stability when needed. I didn’t notice any performance issues using the bit holder vs a different brand or no holder at all. You do gain about 3” of length as well for getting into tighter spots. Overall this is is worth a look and a good add t...
Beefy Little Bit Holder
Would RecommendThis is a great bit holder. It seems good and durable and only time will tell if it is worth the extra 4-5 bucks over the price of the middle of the pack bits. I am not comparing it to the $1 bit holders as those tend to be loose, gall out and get bits wedged in them.
Average and comparable to other drivers, bulkier
Would Not RecommendI have to say that I used it for regular driving of screws, not using an impact/hammer drill. Although I wanted to find some competitive advantage here, I came up short. I found it to be smooth when operating, but is bulkier and heavier than standard drivers, which was a disadvantage when trying to use in tight spots or fit in with a drill set. It does not have any fastener/screw retention feature for longer screws, but it is magnetic. It has a standard 1/4' hex drive. This bit hold...
New Style
Would RecommendRight out of the box you can tell the Crescent Vortex Duel Impact Zone bit holder is made of quality materials and workmanship. It's a 3.5" bit with a strong magnet and a spinning sleeve for gripping. Ergonomically, I really like it. In the video I was using a couple boxes of 2.5" screws trying to eliminate some squeaky floors. I compared the Vortex to a solid shank bit holder. The Vortex seemed to require a little more effort and time to drive the screws flush. After all the duel impact zone ...
Crescent Magnetic Bit Holder
Would RecommendThe magnet is super strong and makes it almost harder to take bits off to switch them which doesn’t speed up the process for me. Obviously double sided bits cannot be used and my longer bits seemed to wobble slightly. I’d say it’s a great add on extender more for those harder to reach areas but not sure about it’s claim that it’ll extend the bit life. Money well spent if it does extend the life cycle although I’m not sure how that works. Easy to grab with fingers for added control in guiding scr...
Handy
Would RecommendItem arrived packed well. Was great on the jobs that I used it for like picture hanging. Ratcheting action definitely will save my bits, screws from stripping. Held bits well. Was lacking a bit when say driving 4" screws in flush. Have not used bit holder long enough to get accurate assumption on durability after using on big building jobs.
Well made tool
Would RecommendIt’s a well made tool that I gave 4 out of 5 because it’s bulky size makes it hard for tight area’s along with its non- magnetic hold, the good side is that you can hold it while driving screws making some jobs easier, also needing pliers to change tips
Easy to use
Worked well and gets the job done with ease. I like how it holds onto the bit until I’m ready to take it off the strong magnetic hold. I will be using this Crescent impact Bit holder on a regular basis. I do recommend this product.
