What Customers Are Saying
This impact bit holder features a strong magnetic tip that securely holds bits in place, preventing them from falling out. The rotating outer sleeve allows for controlled and guided screw driving, while the dual impact zone absorbs shock and vibration to protect bits from premature wear. The sturdy, impact-rated construction is suitable for heavy use. Users report it helps prevent stripping of screw heads and extends drill bit lifespan, though the exact claims are difficult to verify. The main drawbacks are its bulkiness, which can make it harder to use in tight spaces, and the strong magnetic grip that can make shorter bits difficult to remove.

Would RecommendSo once again crescent is putting out some great new tools with new innovations and such. This vortex bit holder is one of them 500× bitlife plus it has a dual impact zone to optimize torque, so in other words, when you're using an impact driver the dual Action impact zone will increase the torque at the tip of the bit almost kind of like a torque converter on a vehicle transmission. This is built with very high quality material it holds the Bits nice and tight so you can use this with heavy imp...
Would definitely buy this bit holder!
Would RecommendTo be honest, as a single older woman, I do not do a huge amount of drilling but since I have been remodeling a couple bedrooms by myself this bit holder has definitely come in handy. It is a nice size. It connects to the drill easily and I love the magnetic end that holds the bits. My drill does seem to let bits loosen and that did not happen with this bit holder. In fact you really have to give a good tug to get the bit out. I did notice some wobble but it did the job just the same. I’m ...
Fantastic!
Would RecommendThis bit is incredible! It doesn’t round off like the other bits usually do! It holds the screwdriver bits perfectly! I spent a lot of hard earned money on the cheaper bits but this one will last forever! Highly recommend this!
Amazing Grip, Highly Recommend
Would RecommendThis thing holds bits so tight that i even had a hard time getting out of the holder. Was thinking i was doing something wrong but literally just had to yank about as hard as i could to release it. Incredible, highly recommend
Works as expected
Would RecommendProduct works as expected, good quality item. Comes on very handy. Been using it frequently on the job (auto mechanic) and it performs well. Would recommend.
I absolutely love this
Would RecommendPrefacing; I wish we had this when we did the studs and drywall in the basement! It's extremely sturdy and solid, gripping my bit very securely. Best part is when I used it hanging shelves in the basement is that you can hold the outside of the attachment and the interior spins! It definitely helped IMMENSELY with keeping the drill steady. Again, I wish I had this when we finished our basement because that's a game changer. We used an extender but it wasn't accurate. This makes your drilling ...
Solid bit holder for my drill/driver
Would RecommendI use my drill/driver all the time for various purposes. I have a bit holder chucked up almost all the time. This bit holder replaces an older holder that was getting a bit worn. It has a very strong magnet so your bits won't fall out but it can make it a bit difficult to get small bits out. One feature that is very nice is the rotating barrel. It allows you to hold onto the shaft for better stability and aim.
Tough little bit holder
Would RecommendThis bit holder is very well built. It has a nice silver casing on the outside that spins freely so you can hold onto it for stability while you drill. The magnet in the top is very strong and securely holds bits in place. I haven’t owned it long but I’m sure it will last a long time. I love the convenience of leaving it in my drill and swapping bits in and out with ease. The magnet like I said is strong but still allows you to pull out bits with little force.
Excellent quality
Would RecommendGreat quality. Very weighty. I like that the middle part can stay stationary while drilling, so it won't cause any damage if you are drilling in close quarters. Can't speak on if it will last a long time as we've just started using it, but I imagine it will. Easy to install and use.
Solid bit holder
Would RecommendThis bit holder definitely lived up to its billing. Screws went in more securely into my project car. The magnet that holds the bit is very strong, and I didn’t worry about losing the bit and fastener.
Nice Bit Holder
Would RecommendThis bit holder turned out better than expected and has proven very useful to date. Pros: 1) Excellent magnet. Holds bit so tight you have to use pliers to extract short bits 2) Floating collar provides the ability to guide the bit without it spinning in your fingers 3) Heavy duty quality build built up boss in bit area, does not flare like cheap holders 4) Quality steel shank with good locking groove for tool chuck 5) Excellent torque transfer Cons: 1) Only a slight con. Will not hol...
Very useful!
Would RecommendThere is a lot to like about the Crescent Apex Vortex bit holder. First, I always like to give an initial “feel” to a new product. The Crescent Apex line just always feels like high quality products. Nothing cheap about this line. The bit holder does a few things that I like. First, it protects the bit, which is going to make it last longer, especially if you are using impact drills. Although I haven’t tested it with super high torque, it makes sense that the dual impact zone would offer m...
Works well, holds bit firmly!
Would RecommendSo far this thing works pretty good. It's a little bulkier than the standard magnetic tip holder but it claims to last 500x longer. It's supposed to absorb the shock and torque typically inflicted on the bit. I've used it for about 2 weeks and I don't have any complaints. It costs similar to a Dewalt bit holder that has a 20degree swivel. It has strong holding capability on the bit which can be tricky to swap if it's short. I prefer that especially in construction. Solid tool!
Great Bit Holder
I use this on a PC impact driver. It is big and sturdy and very well made. The feature I like the most is I can hold the shaft on the silver section and the rest spins freely. The helps when you need to be a little more precise on where the bit is pointing and holding it in place. Hopefully this item will last a lifetime.
It’s alright
Would RecommendThis bit holder is a alright holder. I would like to see a major change made. The magnet is barely strong enough to hold a drywall screw. I could not use it one handed, the screw kept falling off tip. It is much larger in diameter than the standard tip and heavier. The outer case does spin freely so it shouldn’t damage other surfaces. I am not sure how this holder should make your tip last 500 times longer? The retention system that holds the bits in works great, had to use pliers to pull the 1...
Great Tool
Would RecommendI have used the bit holder on small jobs since I received it and it has responded well. You can tell it is made of high quality materials and it being a Crescent tool, you knew it would perform well. I can't wait to use it on a high functional endeavor just to see how it works there. The magnetic feature is great. That alone makes it worthwhile to purchase. I highly recommend it to the DITY workers. Highly dependable
Handy
Would RecommendThis is a handy little tool. I normally use two drills, one with a drill bit, the other with the drive bit. This impact tool allows me to fairly quickly change bits using only one drill. I did notice the bits were a little hard to remove from the holder. Hopefully with some use it will smooth out. Get one of these and put in your drill bag. Tried to add a short video but it kept directing me to U-Tube.
can't tell if it works but it doesn't hurt
Would RecommendThis is supposed to make my bits last longer. I guess I haven't had it long enough yet to see if that's true. So far I can't tell any difference. At least it doesn't affect anything negatively and it does give me the option of holding the bit to steady it while driving the screw. I'll see if my bits last any longer.
CrescentApex Bit Holder
Would RecommendTime will tell on it saving bits, but overall, spent the weekend with it. The magnetic head is strong. Love the spinning Crescent labeled tube that gives you the ability to hold it there while screwing. Overall, it felt solid the whole time.
Great bit holder for the toolbox!
Would RecommendI'm really happy with this Impact Driver Bit Holder. I don't do a ton of work with an impact driver - but this would have been a total livesaver when re-decking with Trex a year ago! I don't generally like magnetic bit holders, because they have always fallen short of being strong and holding the bit tightly. There's nothing worse than when you turn the drill over to put the bit to the screw, and the bit falls onto the floor and rolls underneath something. Not with this holder! There is a su...
