What Customers Are Saying
This impact bit holder features a strong magnetic tip that securely holds bits in place, preventing them from falling out. The rotating outer sleeve allows for controlled and guided screw driving, while the dual impact zone absorbs shock and vibration to protect bits from premature wear. The sturdy, impact-rated construction is suitable for heavy use. Users report it helps prevent stripping of screw heads and extends drill bit lifespan, though the exact claims are difficult to verify. The main drawbacks are its bulkiness, which can make it harder to use in tight spaces, and the strong magnetic grip that can make shorter bits difficult to remove.

Would Recommendhad adrill that the self closer was stripping. used this now easy to cjange adapters without using pliers or fighting to get drill head to open or tighten. saved buying another drill head attachment or new drill
works great
Would RecommendGood magnet and durable. I've been using this impact bit holder with a standard Phillips bit and it has lasted quite a while. Tip wear has been reduced drastically too. It is a bit heavy if you carry it around on a tool belt all day though.
Great Bit Holder!
Would RecommendI make custom crafts like door hangers and charcuterie boards. At times it is very difficult to drill holes or screw handles into the boards. It can be very frustrating. With this bit holder I am able to screw and drill things with greater ease and reach. Where has this been all my life! No really! This makes my work easier. I spend less time reattaching bits and trying to figure out how to reach holes. I love a tool that makes my work easier. It seems high quality and like it will last f...
Great bit holder!
Would RecommendThis magnetic impact bit holder works perfect! It holds bits in place and makes for easy screwing! This bit will be a staple for home improvement projects for the future!
Works Great
Would RecommendOverall I think this is a really high-quality bit holder. It feels really sturdy and works well. I like that it has some shock-absorbing properties as well, which gives me more confidence using my impact-mounted drill bits without worrying that the impact driver will wear them down quickly. Pros: 1. Heavy Duty, should last a long time. Feels well built 2. The spinning collar is nice to help keep screws straight 3. Extra weight helps stabilize the bit as it spins 4. Shock-absorption Con...
Durable
This thing really increases my productivity and extends the life of my 1/4-in hex shank bits. It has a strong magnetic hold which is good because my hands aren’t what they used to be. It really does absorb shock well.
It works… mostly… 90%!
Would RecommendI was building a small set of stairs and I used this bit holder to drive some 6-8” Phillips head wood screws and later some 6-8” 3/8 inch lag screws. I still broke some Phillips head bits with and without the bit holder. Admittedly I broke fewer with the bit holder than I would have if I didn’t use it. Though as I was driving in the Phillips head screws, I would reach a point where the bit holder wouldn’t advance the screw anymore (I guess it reached its limit). I would remove the bit hold...
Not really necessary
Would Not RecommendThe bit holder seems very sturdy and well built, but also is on the large side and doesn't work well in tight spaces. I had more trouble with screws stripping using this bit holder vs. without the bit holder. I don't usually have issues with bits breaking and for the cost of most bits, it doesn't seem worth to add something else to just get in the way when I am working. The magnet in the holder is strong enough to hold the bit but doesn't provide enough magnet power to hold screws on the bit....
Saved the bit and the screw head
Would RecommendHard to remove screws holding these shutters on the house. We trashed several driver bits and a lot of the screw heads before getting the Vortex. HUGE difference. No skitter, stripping the screw and no damage to the bit. The sleeve allows you to hold it in place while in use. I almost wish we had more shutters.
Sound Theory
Would Not RecommendThe pitch for this bit holder is that it extends the life of bits within the rough impact driver usage. Now that I use my impact far more than my traditional drill, this seems like a no-brainer! I have no real idea how it accomplished the aforementioned task, so kinda just have to take the manufacturers word on it. What I do know for sure is that bits will definitely still break in this holder, and also it adds an uncomfortable amount of size to my typically stubby driver.
Nice extension, great holding power
Would RecommendWe used this extension bit to put some needed screws in a piece of lattice under our deck. It's easy to see how it extends the bit life. Normally we are rounding off the bits that are directly in the drill. We used this in a Milwaukee screw driver and had no problem reaching the area that needed the screws. Held them firmly, none were dropped in the flower bed which saved me from having to look for the screws we lost. This wasn't an impact driver situation but now we can't wait to use it for tha...
Quality Bit Holder
Would RecommendI like this tool! The sleeve spins freely, and I think I do feel a difference in the impact. The magnetic end holds all bits I tried and smaller screws. Not sure if it truly extends bit life 500 times, but the dual impact could make a difference.
Putting it to the test.
Would RecommendI am a contractor and I will be putting this to the test of time. So far I would say I put in about 20-25lbs. of screws and I still have the original bit that I placed in it. The silver sleeve is nice because I can hold on to that as I start those hard to reach screws.
Works
Would RecommendThis little guy works well. I was surprised by the opening where you put your bit as it's round! It's held in magnetically, which gives a lot of flexibility with bits, but it also makes it a little difficult to get them out! I was concerned if the magnet would hold in an impact drive, and it did. When I used it with my little electric screwdriver, it worked well and even did build up some torque.
Smooth and feels good
Would RecommendThis one came just in the nick of time as I had broken my last one not too long ago and so I was in dire need of another one. I almost always use keep these in my impact gun and it basically stays in there indefinitely. This one is ergonomic and feels good. It doesn't hurt that it looks good too. The free-spinning innards spin nice and smoothly and the body doesn't require a lot of grip to hold it stationary. This is one of those things that the longevity really has an impression on my opinion b...
Does not hold the screw
Would Not RecommendThis bit holder would be fine but it doesn't hold a screw in place. I have bought 2 of them and they both are not magnetic and do not hold the screw so they are worthless for me. Returning back to the store
Pretty nice, but a little bulky.
Would RecommendAs a full time deck builder I use a lot of bits throughout the day. This Crescent bit holder is pretty standard. The only downfall I find is that it's a little too bulky. You need bits to be as slim as possible to fit into right spaces. Other than that, it seems to be well built and solid.
Cool Tool
Would RecommendThis bit holder is easy to use because you can hold the cylinder while operating the drill/screw gun. Due to the design it makes the reach longer but being able to hold it while it spins allows for more support to keep it stable. It holds the bit very securely and does not fall out after inserting a screw, but allows bits to be easily changed. Definitely worth purchasing!
So easy to use
Would RecommendVery easy to use. Even with my arthritis, it’s easy to hold on to. This has a permanent place in my tool box. Very easy to add or remove bits. I’m very happy to have found it.
