Works well but battery life is lacking

I bought this trimmer about a month or so ago and it works great! My only issue is the battery doesnt last as long as a gas powered trimmer would and it doesnt tackle thicker overgrowth as well as I would like.

Great trimmer

I bought the model below this that had a single line and push button line advance, (which didn’t advance) So I returned it and got this model with dual line and bump advance. Everything works great, long run time, plenty of power. The only feature that the lower model had which this model does not have is a swivel head for edging, to bad because to use this as an edger turning the whole thing over the handles become very uncomfortable and hard to keep a straight edge. Works as advertised

Overall it works very well. For heavy growth I recommend you use high speed. Would be better if the guard was a little bigger. Use it for edging, trimming grass etc away from tree base and trimming grass at base of my rear fence.

Light Weight and Super Easy to Handle

Great qualoty and power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this trimmer after returning my previous black and deckar model for lack of power and battery life. Once trying for the first time i noticed a huge difference in power and was able to cut through all the weeds easily on the low power setting. The power is great, good balance and the battery lasts a nice long time. Ibwas bery pleased with this trimmer after being previously disappointed by my other purchase.

Impressive

It works great and is very impressive. The only negative for me is that even though the length is adjustable, it’s still short for me.

Highly impressed

I initially got the lower model Craftsman trimmer...returned it and got this one. I'm very happy. This thing rips! Much stronger motor and double string puck! It's much stronger than the gas one i had been using for years. The collapsible shaft is nice for storage, and the small battery makes it light and easy to use... I'd highly recommend this one. The only issue i have is, I don't know why they put such small shields on them... It could use a bigger debris guard/shield

Line feed not working

The line feed will not advance after pressing button multiple times. It also feeds itself when spool is full. Returning it though disappointed because battery life for the 4amp is great last's 40 mins on low settings.

The battery life outlasted me!

I'm really love this battery operated string trimmer. It is lighter than the gas powered one I had and the battery life is more than enough for me. The battery charges pretty quickly and it is very easy to operate.

Drive shaft gets grass wound on it

I really like this product, but after a while bits of grass get wound around the drive shaft. I cannot find a way to take this item apart to clean out the grass so once the grass is wound up on the drive shaft there's nothing you could do it just stops running. This may explain some of the other reviews that say that they're string trimmer won't run but they can't figure out why. I had to throw mine away after less than a summers use. Light weight trimmer; heavy duty performance

Purchased to replace my gas power very heavy trimmer. At age 88 just wore me out in short order. I can no longer use a saw type blade as I did on the old one but this works on the majority of thousands of feet, yes thousands, of trimming.

Craftsman String Trimmer

My first cordless trimmer. Was pleasantly surprised with the duration of the charge (about an hour) and the overall performance. Every bit as good as my old gas trimmer. Plus no fuss in starts and no messy gas to deal with. I'm a convert!
