Ratings & Reviews for CRAFTSMAN V20 20-volt max 13.0-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer 4 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Works as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has good power and works as expected. Only used it once so no comment on durability but this one use was heavy duty work and it came through. Strong power even on low, and the run time is solid, though had to break out a second battery to finish the backyard. Only thing keeping my review from 5 stars is the support handle and the safety button. The handle is too small for the tool and it's hard to hold the trigger and safety button very long be...

Line continuously tangles up and line won’t advance. I really like Craftsman products but this one has been a disappointment!

Great trimmer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the weight and balance of this trimmer. The battery life is also very good.

Weekwacker Review

I purchased a string weedwacker last year and have used it extensively. It has really proven to be a wise decision. It has been great in really thick under brush. I be do like just how easy it is to wind on new string. The battery holds up well and I can pretty much finish up my lawn before it runs down. I am very pleased

Outperforms my expectations

I'm 52 years old and this weedeater is light enough for me to operate with one hand while standing on very steep ground. Absolutely LOVE it. Plenty of power on low speed for grass and most weeds. A single battery allows me to go around my entire 2 acres of fenced yard.

Material cracks easy

Purchased 2 years ago as a combo set. I have replaced spools 4 times since cover cracks easily. Now the guard cracked and fell off and I am unable to find a guard to replace. Considering switching to different brand but all my tools are Craftsman 20v.

not worth the price

auto feed mechanism went bad after a couple uses

Do Not Purchase. Nothing but problems.

Purchased at Lowes in the beginning of season, sometime in May. Worked great the first two times, After that the sting advance became sporadic. I had to advance it by hand. Then the spool cap became loose. I went to Lowes spoke with an associate who said there have been complaints but Craftsman came out with a new cap and spool to fix the problem. I purchased the new spool cap and spring ($6.99) and the new three pack of spool ( 24.99). I went home and the three pack of spool does not fit on th...

Right Power for Small Yard, Poor PlasticDurability

If you buy this string trimmer, know that the head and spool cap are made of incredibly cheap plastic. After a year of use, the plastic started to really break down from normal use and just bumping the head for line feed. After two years I was trying to use products to glue the cap together. After three years the cap came completely apart. I had already purchased a replacement (which I had to purchase a whole new head because the spool cap itself for this model isn't sold anywhere I could find),...

Good replacement for my gas trimmer

I like having high and low settings. I used the low setting when trimming around my hosta beds and it didn't dig into the ground like my old gas trimmer did. It was easier to control on low. And then I have a couple of hills where I used the high setting and it does great on high, even better than I expected. There are 3 things I don't like about it: 1.It's uncomfortable to hold. My right wrist was really uncomfortable after only 20 minutes. 2. It's great that it has an adjustable shaft but if y...
