Ratings & Reviews for CRAFTSMAN V20 20-volt max 13.0-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer 4 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the trimmer for its powerful brushless motor, lightweight design, and quiet operation, with most noting it outperforms older gas models and handles typical yard tasks with ease. The switch from gas eliminates fuel mixing and reduces physical strain. However, battery life varies significantly—some complete full yards on one charge while others report 15-20 minute runtimes. Several users experience durability issues with plastic components cracking and bump-feed mechanisms failing. Despite these concerns, most customers find the convenience and ease of use worthwhile, though some recommend purchasing a second battery.

Would RecommendThis trimmer works great. I wanted something light and easy to use for light trimming when I didn’t want to use my large 4 stroke trimmer but find myself using this trimmer most of the time. It is lightweight, quiet, and works better than I ever thought a battery powered trimmer would work. Battery life is also better than I was expecting.

Nice weedwacker
Would RecommendI have a 3/4 acre yard and found this product worked good. I use it for spot trimming in the yard. Battery life was good. Just grab and go. No cords or gas to mess with. I haven’t tried cutting a field of weeds. For my needs it has been great.

Great weed eater
I bought this weed eater to supplement lawn mowing. I didn’t want a gas model and after researching several brands I chose this one. I like the two power settings and the variable speed and it being brushless.

Broken right out the box
Would Not RecommendNot sure how the battery or power are as the spool cover broke right out of the box. The clips holding the bump cover in would not click in and when I tried to hold it in the clip cracked. Not a good sign for a bump-and-go design. Instructions are not great either for assembly. Returning and hoping for better luck with house brand Kobalt.
