AVOID AT ALL COSTS - ZERO STARS

I hate this fridge. The sellers left it for us and it is barely 5 years old. I have replaced two LED lights and have a service tech out twice to repair. It does not maintain temperature, has humidity inside (yes I replaced the seals too), now the in door icemaker/water dispenser has stopped working. The interior lights come on 10% of the time. This thing makes me angry when I look at it. $4K fridge. AVOID. GE GARBAGE.

Just received the refrigerator 2 days ago and I love it so far.

Highly Recommend

Have had it for a couple of months now and just love it. One thing my wife likes is being able to set the water dispenser for the exact amount she needs for her morning smoothies. It meets our requirements for what we need as a family of 3 living in this house, probably not so great for a larger family with the space (up to a family of 5 I would suggest). Great space in the freezer for our needs. Cosmetically it is perfect for our kitchen, also have the range and dishwasher from Cafe.

Shortcomings

The refrigerator is attractive and cools well. However, the preset positions for the door shelves limit capacity. If I set the shelves to hold a bottle of wine the upper shed is so short I can fit very few items in it. The shelves on the door behind the ice maker are almost useless because they are so shallow. The vegetable/ fruit drawers are too small. The ice dispenser seems to throw ice out beyond a glass that is put under it.

Cafe Bottom Feeezer

The overall esthetics of this appliance is excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that it's a bit smaller than we need I can't fault GE however since that was the size the contractor provided. Icemaker and water works flawlessly and quickly. Temperature controls are righ on target. We have only lived with it for 3 weeks so I'll add to my review once we have more usage.

Terrible value, great warranty though

Does not meet expectations for a refrigerator at this price point. In fact, the quality and performance issues I've had makes me want to shy away from Cafe refrigerators (I have the range and dishwasher as well and they are working fine). WIthin 2 years time, the motherboard / computer board failed one and needed replacement, and twice there was a refrigerant leak. I can get better looking fridges with similar functionality for almost half the price. One positive is GE's warranty program, though...

I like the hot water feature. I just wish it could get up to 220º F for piping hot black tea.

The refrigerator was good it is very nice the only thing I have to say about it the hot water dispenser takes a while to heat up and then once it's done and only gives so much hot water and then you have to take some more time to heat more of

Works well for different sizes of jars and temperature seems to be spot on.

Faulty Dispenser

3 time, ice maker, and light in freezer goes out.. Whole dispensers stops working. No one knows the problem, reading reviews seems like this is a problem. GE needs to find a solution.

I wish the doors would open more widely. I also wish the dairy door would stay so I could place items in without both hands. All features in the door like "precise fill" are great. It takes some getting used to having the ice maker in the door because of loss of shelf space. All in all, a nice unit.

I love this refrigerator. It's bright and the drawers are very convenient. Their is a spot for everything we use. It's very quiet and the ice and water are so handy !!! Even hot water
