Use of Bruce ABC2SK14S oak as Bruce ABC400

I bought this wood as a replacement for ABC400 which has a high gloss, aluminum dioxide coating. This item is no longer available. I was able to use this wood selection which is otherwise identical to ABC400. The box contained 18 sq feet and was more loosely packed than other boxes. I realize that to==in order to get 20 sq feet per box, several boxes must be bought. The quality of the wood was very good and no boards were rejected due to bad warpage, improper end cuts, or surface milling go...

As described; slightly damaged in shipping

Product itself came as described, but a lot of the boards on one package were damaged on the end. About 8 inches along the sides of the stacked boards, the tongue part had been chipped off in shipping. I’ll be able to use the boards just as well by cutting off the damaged pieces, they’ll just be a little shorter.

The quality has gone down hill

The flooring was sub standard and i was so disappointed. Some boards had no tongue, some were cut at an angle even some were warped. It made my job of installing 222 feet very challenging. Will never buy bruce again.

Great experience and results

Ordered roughly 25 boxes, the product was flawless and performed as advertised. Easy to handle and install. Wood seems stable and durable. My floors look great. I’m very happy with this decision to buy the oak flooring.

Installed using a 18g brad nailer with 2” nails.

Easy to install. Most all cuts were straight and easily lined up together. Some had tongues missing at the ends. The eurythane coating was good enough and only required one extra coating.

Nice product

This is a great product for the price. Very few damaged pieces per box. Color was uniform over the 7 boxes I used.

Flooring

Excellent product was pleasantly surprised that it was prefinished

Love the way it looks!

I bought 19 boxes for two rooms. Just finished one room. It is beautiful! Many of the pieces of wood were bowed and the lip was cut wrong or cut off. Have one full box of rejects to return so far. Other than that I love it. On to room two!

Delivery is sketchy on hardwood flooring.

If you get delivery, they don't tell you that up to 20 boxes of wood they will take into house, past that they will stack it in garage, my order was 4000 lbs of 3/4 inch oak hardwood. Lucky for me my installer was available to help load in 74 boxes of flooring at 60 lbs each. They gave the driver a 12 hour window 9 - 9, while giving me a 4 hour window that evening of 1:30 - 5:30. Driver told me he would have been back to the warehouse before noon. Who does the scheduling on this? They really ne...
