Built with durable 3/4-in solid red oak construction, America's Best Choice is designed for lasting residential performance. Red oak's 1290 Janka hardness rating provides dependable resistance to everyday traffic and wear. Several layers of tough urethane and aluminum oxide coating help protect the prefinished hardwood surface, while a limited lifetime structural warranty and 50-year residential finish warranty provide added confidence. The floor can also be refinished up to three times to extend its usable life.

Classic 2-1/4-in solid hardwood strips feature tongue-and-groove construction for nail-down installation over approved plywood subfloors on or above grade. Natural red oak varies from plank to plank, and differences in grain, color, mineral streaks, knots, and other naturally occurring character marks are part of genuine wood and should be expected. Each carton covers 20 sq ft.

We just put in 220 square feet of this flooring. There was very little waste, the wood was in excellent shape, no broken edges,weird coloring, scratched pieces. I almost didn’t buy this based on the other reviews. I bought 12 cases, used 11 and still have a few pieces left. For this price point I am very pleased with the outcome. Maybe we got lucky…good for us!
