poor quality

At 4.99 a square foot you would expect quality hardwood flooring. Some of the wood is split, the tongue is missing on a lot of pieces and I am still waiting on the rest of my order. Boxes that were open were short of product . I had 160 square foot room to do and with very little waste I still used 180 square feet 9 boxes to do one small room. If this is what we as consumers can expect higher prices and lower quality I should have gone to a salvage store to purchase the flooring as then I would...

Took two weeks for delivery. In transit forever

Product was great, Lowes was terrible.

Very happy with the Bruce flooring, good quality. The delivery experience from Lowes was absolute garbage. Order through someone else! Lowes has no respect for their customers time. They rescheduled my delivery, at the last second, several times!

DO NOT accept re-sealed cartons!

The flooring size, color, and finish were as expected. Tongue and groove cuts machined well. Slats mated well. Problem was with three of the ten cartons. They had been previously opened and re-sealed with blue painters tape. All three boxes apparently were returns to the store. Inside each box I found cut pieces, pieces with damaged ends, and pieces that had been scuffed up. Before I placed order, I was assured at the store that all cartons would come from the warehouse and would be new. ...

First three boxes had several defective pieces

I'm very disappoimnted with the milling on the first three boxes. Some of the joints on the ends wouldn't close and both the ends and sides show a lot of overwood. We're struggling to find pieces without issues and we're starting a reject pile to return to Lowes. This is my third hardwood floor installaition and I'm working with my brother who ran a hardwood flooring company for years. Excellent quality prefinished wood flooring

This flooring is of excellent quality. I have had little to no waste due to flaws on the finished side of the boards. There has been little warp and I've had no trouble aligning boards to their adjacent neighbors. Very few knots and when there is a knot, it's tight. The finish is uniform and smooth. It appears that it will hold up well; but, only time will tell. I definitely recommend this product if you're interested in a solid wood floor.

It’s good

I purchased the flooring in the 2 1/4, 3 1/4, and 5 Inc widths to lay in a random pattern. The 5 inch was overall darker in color and not as shiney finished. Of the three the 3 1/4 had a lot more variance in the widths and had to be very careful not to get a piece that was wider by a 1/16 or more that caused a real problem in the next row. I would do it again but if doing all the same width would go 2 1/4 or 5

A new floor adds: easy quiet clean livability.

I ordered this at Lowes in 3 bundles, all of the same lot, some 30+ boxes. Most was delivered, some we carried. The job became a little bigger for us because we had a change to add walk-in closets. We also needed splines to reverse direction. The product is so engineered as to make all of this very easy. We had no waste, no bad boards, no finish issue.

Good stuff

Haven't had the flooring delivered but it should match the hardwood flooring that was installed 30 years ago. We're replacing old carpeting with hardwood and this was a good product at a good price.

Not what I expected

I found it was of low quality and was scratched and dented.

Very pretty Flooring

The wood was beautiful. It was too thick for my project, but I wish it would’ve worked. The pieces were in various lengths in the box, from 1 foot to 5 feet. This made for an awkward removal of the pieces. But all in all, it was very nice product.

You will regret buying this wood.

A lot of the wood does not fit together and creates gaps and uneven joints. Also, a lot of the wood is defective with holes, chips, broken pieces, and weird colors. I have included three of very many examples I could provide.

Be sure to buy a little extra.

The product came with damage wood pieces. Also the ends were not cut clean so took more work to get a seamless look.

Worse Flooring

This flooring is very defective. Most of the wood has holes or is so defective as to be unusable. Many pieces have putty to fill in the holes. There colors are wildly inconsistent. Lots of pieces are chipped and scraped up as to be unusable. Yes, the price is good, but be prepared to discard about half the box, so this wood really costs twice as much. Much of the wood doesn't fit together properly. I spend more time finding pieces that will fit together smoothly than I spend on nailing the floor...
