What Customers Are Saying

The ceiling tiles have a simple, elegant look and are easy to install, making them a good value. However, some common issues include damaged tiles due to poor packaging, difficulty cutting the edges, fragility leading to cracking or chipping, and inconsistent quality. Careful inspection upon delivery and using sharp cutting tools are recommended to address these problems.

Looks great

Love this tile for the price. Wanted a budget tile that looked smooth and upscale and this was the winner! Happy with purchase.

Good tiles

Would Recommend

The tiles are great but the armstrong packaging sucks. This results a few tiles from each pack being slightly damaged.

Ceiling Tile Worked Great

Would Recommend

These tiles worked great for our application. We did receive 1 box of the tiles which were damaged on a corner as it looked like it was bumped against something , but we were able to return them and get another set. Looks great!

Shop ceiling

Would Recommend

Good tile for shop ceiling. It is a little difficult to cut, have to change out blade after about every 10th cut. If blade is not sharp, the tile will not cut cleanly, it hard to get clean cut with a sharp blade.

Oasis model #296, has a fine grit texture visual effect on the face of the tile. We recommend not touching the face of it to avoid it coming off. O... Read More

Kind of fragile

Would Recommend

I bought several boxes from different stores and it seems the at least the top and bottom will be damaged. Sometimes you can find a place to use it, sometimes it’s wasted. I think if they could package them little better it would cut down on the waste. Also I use a table saw to do as much of the cutting as I can, utility knives didn’t work very well. Overall I was happy with the results.

I like these tiles but...

I have about 500 sft that had the tired old 2x4 tiles. Added the cross pieces to right the grid and it looks great. A couple of tips if you are considering these: When shopping at Lowes only buy these if you can find them "fresh" off the palate. A palate has 12 boxes of tiles. My local Lowes had 9 in stock and the boxes were a mess. You could see damaged tiles in most boxes. One of the Lowes store about an hour away had 19 in stock and I bought 9 boxes from a virgin palate. Very few damaged ti...

Good quality tile

This is a good quality tile, just be sure to check them very good before you leave the store. I had to dig through several packs before i found some that were not damaged from employees tossing them around.

Tough

These tiles are nice but tough to deal with. Cutting them is significantly more difficult than the standard tiles . They also easily get scuffed and damaged while trying to get in place. Buy extra

Looks really nice when done but they are packed horribly leading to broken tiles.

Armstrong Acoustic Tile

Would Recommend

These are replacement tiles for a water damaged ceiling. Despite the fact that the ceiling is over ten years old, the tiles matched perfectly.

Great look, a little tricky to work with

Would Recommend

Overall, these tiles look great; and to me that is the most important factor. I would definitely choose these again. However, as others have stated there are two downsides you should be aware of. First, the packaging is not great. The tiles only have cardboard wrapped around the sides and then wrapped in plastic. Absolutely no padding top and bottom. So, you have to be careful to not get a box that shows any damage - especially the corners. However, in all likelihood, you will need to cut some ...

Wrong type, wrong decision

Would Not Recommend

Bought this not knowing it was form fitted for the cross members, causing it to drop below the cross members, so when you got to areas where you needed to cut it, you had to custom cut it so the CEO's members would be counter sunk, this would also require touch up on the paint. So I returned them in search of non custom sunk, and could not find 24" x 24", so I bought textured 24" x 48" and cut them down. Only problem was EVERY single one of the 3 cases of each piece was damaged in the cor...

Really good for the money!

Would Recommend

If you want 2x2 with a little upper-end look, without paying $3 per square, then I would go for these. They aren't really expensive but still add a classier look than the traditional 2x2 tile. I boutique 1700sq' of these for my basement and really like them.

DIY basement renovation

Would Recommend

Product is generally good, visible surface is relatively delicate and chips or marrs easily even with careful individual handling. The tiles probably left the factory in good shape, but by the time they reached the consumer--me--in one case 5 of 16 tiles were damaged; corners crushed and 2 were water marked. A better packaging system would help, but clearly there were signs of poor handling practices and since you can not purchase single panels, plan on a minimum of one additional case to compen...
