Ratings & Reviews for Armstrong Ceilings 2-ft x 2-ft OASIS White Mineral fiber Ceiling Tile ( 16 -Pack, 64-sq ft / Case )

armstrong oasis cieling tiles

The product itself is good. The product handling leaves something to be desired. Of the 10 boxes i purchased i had one full box of damaged tiles that could only be used for edge cuts. And another 10 tiles that were completely unusable. Moral of the story, look through inventory and dont have this item delivered. Same story with the grid system.

Ceiling tiles

These look absolutely beautiful when installed. However the tiles have a tendency to be damaged while still in the store and you can't really tell until you open the package. A lot of the corners were broken and we even had to have one package totally refunded. There is also a lot of dust when they are being cut and you must wear a mask when installing. But I think that is normal for ceiling tiles. I love the beveled edges. It makes them look very elegant and not institutional.

Look great, fragile so handle with care

I purchased these to replace 25 year old tile selecting these after installing other ceiling tiles that didn't look good. These look great and provide good clean lines in my basement. I installed with new LED lights and the rooms look totally updated! One caution is that the tiles are packed in a cardboard surrounding the 4 sides of the tiles but not the top and bottom of the panels. Reading the other reviews I knew to expect damaged tiles as they are fragile so I asked the Lowes associate t...

Good Tile

Its easy to use and put up once you have the grid squared up.

This product has gone up without a hitch. The end results is a beautiful ceiling in my new living room.

not smooth, wear safety gofglws

This product is advertised as smooth. It is not. It has a sand like surface that falls off into your eyes as you install it. They dont cut easily and since they hve a recessed frame if you dont have an exactly 24x24 spot for each tile they dont seat well leaving gaps. Cutting them is easy to mess up and they ding and flake easily. Would not buy again.

Poor Service

I found this product on the shelf in the store but since I needed several cases I decided to order it online and pick it up. I placed the order that evening and it was cancelled due to lack of stock. I remind you that I had just seen the stock a few hours earlier, I returned to the store the next day and loaded the tiles myself and purchased them. Something wrong with this system.

Nice Tile, Difficult to Install

The tile itself is decent and looks good. Oasis Model 296. The biggest complaint I have is the cut edges. I initially tried to cut in a tegular edge running with the wall and found my cuts not to be of quality/poor looks. So just decided to cut the entire edge flush with the wall border, (the tile is supported on 3 sides, one side hanging below the metal support edge) this was 100 times easier than cutting a tegular edge. In the corners, you do have to cut 1 side tegular to get a 3-sided suppo...

Acoustical ceiling tiles

Good quality. Exactly what I needed to complete a job!

Perfect for smooth tiling and they are whitest white!

Great tile - Remember to inspect packaging

Like the style of these tiles as they look more high end. Takes a little skill when cutting them to get the ridge to drop down in the grid, but they look nice. Check packaging before purchasing. Many bundles were a little "banged up" in a few stores meaning broken corners, etc. As long you check before you buy, you will be happy.

Perfect

We have been using this ceiling tile for many years. It's basic, so it goes with any decor. I was told it is a semi-retired style. I hope not!

Ceiling Tile

Product was fine but, the boxes they come in are cheap and break open. Display at store a mess and different tiles mixed in with others. Very hard to find a box without damaged product
