We’re very excited and in a hurry to get a new water heater the same day ours broke down. It was urgent to replace it because of the intense cold. Since there were no deliveries we even rented a truck, but it arrived with a broken heating element, it was completely rusted. The people we hired to do the replacement had to come back a total of three times before we were finally able to use the shower on the third day. Great size for small spaces, check for damage

We bought the tank ourselves to save time and money. The box had not been opened and there was no signs of damage on the box. Upon opening the box we discovered the top, back edge was crushed in. The box was in great shape, so it had to have happened in the factory. They packed it anyway! Our Plumbers were on a tight schedule. They assured us it would not affect the functioning, so we let them install it. Buyer beware, open the box before leaving the store.

LowBoy Water Heater

This heater replaced a Whirpool Water Heater. The Whirlpool seemed to heat water faster than this unit. However, I have only had it for 2 weeks. It only has a 6 year warranty.

A Lesson in Patience

First one I brought home from the store was damaged at the factory. Box was perfect but unit was crushed, probably by a forklift. The guys just boxed it up and sent it out. Lowes got me a new one after lots of work to get it moved with help of $100 an hour handyman. Installed the new unit with help of $100 an hour local handyman. but it wouldn't heat. Called the Lowes but they wouldnt take it back because it was more than 48 hours(this was on a weekend) Could not afford to keep the $100 an hour ...
