Takes some practice, but a good sharpener over all

This sharpener has a good design. It has a lot of features in a compact package. Two diamond and one ceramic stones are all on the same rotating carousel and easy to switch between them as needed. The pivoting feature makes the sharpening stroke feel more natural but requires a lot of practice to be consistent. The 20 and 25 degree guides are good reference points for keeping proper angles. I found the written instructions to be a bit confusing and had to do some online research to figure it out...

Great sharpener

I’ve used a number of stones before but this is my first drystone. I’m quite impressed with how it’s put together. Two grind stones and a hone stone make for really nice edges. Having a couple angle guides really helps make the right angle. I’ve used it for kitchen knives and a field knife and the edges come out terrific. My only wondering is how long they’ll last. Sharpening with the Benchstone was a lot easier than I thought. My previous experience with work sharp was the belt driven MK.2. I was very pleased with that method for correcting and sharpening my blades. I would sharpen draws full of knives at a time. The results were fantastic but took time to get the edges pristine. Good product but needs a method to lock into place

I found the instructions somewhat difficult to follow in terms of locking versus unlocking when sharpening. I was able to sharpen a Swiss Army knife, but it didn’t feel much sharper after about 20 passes on each side. I’m not sure whether that’s my method or the surface (or a bit of both). This is a compact product, which is good for storing. I wish that there was a way to lock this in place as the device tends to slide quite a bit.

Using this was an absolute breeze.

The anti slip feet on the pivot base with anti slip feet makes it very easy to use. It was nice to have the 3 different abrasive surfaces to choose from depending on what we were sharpening. I sharpened all of my kitchen and pocket knives as well as scissors.

Excellent knife sharpener

I am very satisfied with this knife sharpener. I started sharpening my kitchen knives and they are good as new again. I tried different tools, but this one clearly did the job in less time.

Perfect little sharpener

This is the perfect little sharpener for all your knives and tools with sharpened edges. I used this for my Benchmade knife I use for work. I use it almost daily to cut something at work. Easy to use knife sharpener

The WSBCHBSS Benchstone Knife Sharpener is ready to use right out of the box. No oils or water are needed. There are two Diamond sharpeners, 600 grit and 320 grit, and a fine ceramic sharpener for finishing. Two angle sharpening guides are installed for different types of knives. Work Sharp Benchstone knife sharpener

This Benchstone knife sharpener is the best that I have used. It has 3 different grits that can sharpen to a razors edge with minimal effort. Portable and functional

This tool is wonderful to use for quick sharpening of knives and scissors. It is a 3 sided tool to allow a rough sharpening then a fine sharpening and after the sharpening, I can use the smooth bar to clean off the rough edges. Handy sharpener for the bench top

This is a pretty good guide for simple sharpening tasks. The angle guides, at 20 degrees and 25 degrees, are magnetic, so they stay on better, but not perfect. I often knocked them off while using this tool. After using it per the instructions, my knife was a lot sharper. It was way overdue for a sharpening!

Compact and effective

I have multiple honing stones, but this one quickly became my favorite. One of the things I appreciate the most is the ceramic finishing plate. I like to keep a razor sharp edge on my blades and this creates a very nice clean edge. It has good pads to keep it from skidding on the table, a compact design while having a nice length, and good quality plates. It seems like it will hold up really well for many sharpening.

Good, but at the Expense of Time

I think this sharpener is good for non-kitchen knives....or knives that dont fit within a normal sharpener. While i struggled to get a burr on the knife i used, the end was result was a blade that was able to slice through paper pretty well. However, to get this took roughly 5 minutes...when compared against a good electric sharpener, just not really the same game. However, if you are using to sharpen an axe or garden sheers, would recommend.

Brand New, Still Early But Finely Sharpens

I just received this Work Sharp Benchstone Sharpener and immediately put it to use. The sharpener came well packaged inside a shipping box and has plenty of options. Sharpen away

So far I’ve used the it sharpen a few kitchen knives as they always seem to get dull. It’s fairly compact and the non-slip stand works nicely so you’re not trying to hold it down with one hand or chase it around the counter. Easy to pivot system makes going from one surface to another a breeze and without much effort. I used the 600 grit mainly. Small and simple sharpener

This sharpener works quite well as a small counter top sharpener. Compared to a powered sharpener this will take about 5 minutes to sharpen a dull knife vs.1 minutes with a powered sharpener. The sharpening surface is quite small at 1 ¼” x 5 ¾”. For a larger knife, I needed to do them in 3 sections. Simple and effective knife sharpening!

This thing is simple and effective! The Benchmade Knife Sharpener setup was easy as you just snap in the rotating top to the base. I liked that you could choose to lock or unlock the rotation to allow longer knives to pass through. I was able to sharpen dull kitchen knives to be sharpe enough to shave with! Easy to set up, use, and clean.

Gimmicky

The box says Benchstone Knife Sharpener, as do the instructions but on the product itself, says Work Sharp. Which looks to be the name of the company, but no where on the product is the name of the product. The included instructions under pro tips say, do not use oil or water.
