Great Sharpener for Beginners and Experts!

I was a bit intimidated as a first time knife sharpener, but with a little practice, I was sharpening knives like a pro. The how-to videos were most helpful with tips like using both hands to maintain the angle set by the guides and cleaning the unit with a dry brush after use. The instructions included with the knife sharpener are clear and easy to follow. This is a great sharpener for beginners as well as experts!

This is a pretty nice knife sharpener. Obviously this is used for straight edge knives only, it can not be used with serrated edge knives. It sits nice and flat when you use it. There are 4 feet with rubber bottoms to keep it from slipping around during use. The bar that you use to sharpen knives has 3 different sides. Great sharpening tool - Ingenious design

Work Sharp is a great tool that makes maintaining home & garden blades sharp with the convenience of 3 grits that are easy to access with a rotating selector. The 20 degree and 25 degree sharpening guides help with accuracy of the honed edge. For longer blades I'd like to see a longer surface and to bench mount it. Overall easy to use and produced great results. Much safer than hand-held stones.

Does the job!

I have several work sharp tools now and I’ve been impressed with all of them so far. As a knife junkie and woodworker I’ve used a ton of sharpening devices. This sharpener is no different. Works to get a nice edge.

Definitely works after some practice, has a bit of a learning curve to it. Sharpened up all my kitchen knives after getting the hang of it. Nice unit to have handy to freshen up those dull blades a couple times a year.

Keeping me sharp

I camp and vacation alot with the kids. Fires, fishing and normal yearly use can take that edge off. This has 3 sides for how much sharpening you need. Usually with a knife a few passes and your back in business but i had a axe that had some edge damage. It has rubber ends that can come off and and show you the angle you are needing. Easy to use device

Knife sharpening has always been a very confusing thing for me. What do you use? Where do you start? How often do you sharpen? This device takes most of the guesswork out of sharpening. It has 3 different grits on a rotating platform. Also the correct angle is always achievable with the angle blocks to guide you. The base is a little rickety but if you secure it to you table in some way that’s not an issue.

Very nice sharpener. Works very well. They gave my knife for razors edge the first time I tried it. Very easy to use and built very well. This is the first time I’ve ever use this type of sharpener, and I am very pleased.

Handy tool you didn’t know you needed

This a handy benchtop toll that is compact enough to have readily available when needed. It does the sharpening with only a few quick swipes since the “stone” is very efficient. A welcome addition to any workshop, and it is great to do kitchen knives and scissors.

Great Convenient Sharpener for sharpening knives

Workshop Benchstone Sharpener is a nice addition for all your knives and scissors. It is easy to use, it doesn't take up much space on the workbench and it sharpened my knives with no problems, the angle guide is a great feature as well.

Clean sharp edge that you get get from the start.

This sharpening system is extremely easy to use and get a great edge with. The three grits make honing, and finishing the edge smooth and easy. No water or oil needed just straight contact. Makes it simple to setup, and cleanup. I used a 50/50 blade doing the drop point at the front and it was extremely easy to put a razers edge on it. The finish is a mirror shine and razer sharp. The edge guards make finding the angles extremely easy too.

Good for its size

I got this sharpener not too long ago. I wanted to wait till i posted a review so I could sharpen several knives and experiment with sizes, styles and length of sharpness. Overall it wasnt bad. The best feature is the swivel of the stones. You can easily swivel between the two stones and the ceramic but it can feel a little flimsy. The lock works ok and theres not much "bulk" to it but it suffices for the size. The angle tips on the end easily remove and flip from the ends of the sharpener...
