What Customers Are Saying
The product is generally considered an unreliable and ineffective tool for removing water heater elements. The majority of reviews indicate the wrench is poorly made, does not fit the heating element nut properly, and often slips or rounds out when trying to loosen the element. Many customers recommend using a standard 1.5-inch socket instead, as it provides a tighter and more secure fit. The main issues cited include poor quality and construction, loose and imprecise fit, and the need to use additional tools to complete the task. Overall, the consensus is that this specialized wrench is not worth the frustration and a standard socket is a better, more reliable option.

Do not buy!
Would Not RecommendWould not stay on to loosen the heating element. Just buy a 1 1/2 inch socket. Now I understand why mutiple packages were taped. They are returns.

Water Heater Element removal tool. Does what it's supposed to with a little assist from you with a long screwdriver for torque and your weight pushing against the large socket to keep it on the low profile element nut. It spans the entire element so there's no damage to screws, etc. Does what it's supposed to do as long as you keep pressure against it so it doesn't slip. You only use it whenever replacing the universal size elements, so keep it around labeled as to what it does.

Poor quality
Would Not RecommendItem fit loosely. One element came free but the second would not. I spent the same amount on a 1.5” socket for a long armed socket wrench and it worked like a champ.
