What Customers Are Saying

The product is generally considered an unreliable and ineffective tool for removing water heater elements. The majority of reviews indicate the wrench is poorly made, does not fit the heating element nut properly, and often slips or rounds out when trying to loosen the element. Many customers recommend using a standard 1.5-inch socket instead, as it provides a tighter and more secure fit. The main issues cited include poor quality and construction, loose and imprecise fit, and the need to use additional tools to complete the task. Overall, the consensus is that this specialized wrench is not worth the frustration and a standard socket is a better, more reliable option.

Garbage - Just buy a 1.5" Socket

Would Not Recommend

Loose fitting and not to spec prior to using it. Rounds out when applying hardly any force. Spare the automated response, the element was not heavily corroded - this tool is just made out of cheap flimsy metal.

While this "tool" is the correct size and shape to fit over the heater element, it was difficult to get it to seat on the element flange, then, with barely any pressure, the "tool" would bend out of shape and come off the heater element. After wasting too much time trying multiple times and never being able to apply enough pressure to even begin to loosen the heater element, not to mention having to bend the "tool" back to the correct shape to fit on the heater element flange with each try, I re...
