What Customers Are Saying

The product is generally considered an unreliable and ineffective tool for removing water heater elements. The majority of reviews indicate the wrench is poorly made, does not fit the heating element nut properly, and often slips or rounds out when trying to loosen the element. Many customers recommend using a standard 1.5-inch socket instead, as it provides a tighter and more secure fit. The main issues cited include poor quality and construction, loose and imprecise fit, and the need to use additional tools to complete the task. Overall, the consensus is that this specialized wrench is not worth the frustration and a standard socket is a better, more reliable option.

Don’t expect to loosen with a screwdriver

Would Not Recommend

It worked but not much quality. Buy a socket instead. I had to use a pipe wrench to break the elements loose on a 4 year old Rheem.

Simple Tool

I mean it gets the job done but it requires something else to turn it so for 8$ that could be improved

screwed

Would Not Recommend

This tool is a waste of time. It does not grab the element tightly and is almost impossible to use correctly. It is cheaply made and I am sorry I bought it.

Not worth buying

Would Not Recommend

Not strong enough to retain its shape under pressure. I would recommend purchasing a half inch drive socket.

Just don't

Would Not Recommend

This tool is supposed to make removing the heating element easy. It does NOT do that! In fact, what it does do is make you spend more time, energy, and money (on gas going to find a better tool and money on that tool). Save yourself the headache and just use a 1 1/2in socket for an impact drill.

This is a good tool, but it needs to come with a handle for ease of use.
