Would RecommendThis is a cheap and easy $11 fix when your water heater burner is not working. If this does not fix the issue - then you'll need a new valve. At that point - you might consider a whole new heater.

Would RecommendSave yourself money and time by finding this part locally at Lowes, etc. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that walk you through pilot light problems including replacing a thermocouple like this. Ours went bad overnight after 10 years--I had this part installed later the next evening. The original was 28" long, but a 24" still fit, just keep that in mind since you won't have extra slack.
