Would RecommendA typical story. Windy night and no hot water. I couldn't get the pilot light to stay lit. Google says get new thermocouple. Had a plumber in last week to reconnect a faucet fitting - $400! Anyway, watched U-Tube video, went to Lowe's - piece of cake.
Fixes Bradford White water Heater
Would RecommendGood thermocouple that is used to fix Bradford White Water heater Model No : MI504S6FBN4. This is a 2005 model and works like a charm only problem was with water not heating. Bought bradford white brand thermocouple which did not work , so grabbed this one at lowes for $13 bucks i believe and it fixed the issue. Before you call a plumber for this issue of water not heating, check the thermocouple which saves $$$$. Plumbers forwarded by Lowes too charge a minimum of $1000 for just a replacement ...
don't last long.
Would Not RecommendI go through one of these every 2-3 years. the oem one lasted about 7. I only buy these because they can be sourced locally. I keep thinking my water heater will die before I need a new one.
fixed my water heater
Would RecommendPilot light would not stay lit and, after watching a couple videos, it pointed to the thermocouple. Spent $12 and about 30 minutes of time and saved $300 on the weekend repair rates. We have now had an entire weekend of hot water!
Not universal
It said it was universal but apparently it fit everything except my hot water heater because mine has left handed threads. I had to order one on line somewhere else

They work but not reliable
Would Not RecommendFor some reason I keep buying these. Every 6 months to a year I have to replace. I buy 2 at a time because they are so unreliable. The original one lasted 6 years, but these are not good at all. I am on my 6th or 7th one. I don’t know why I continue to abuse myself buying these.
The problem you've described usually indicates a problem with the gas control to which the thermocouple is connected. Please call the manufacture...
IT WORKS AS IT SHOULD
Would RecommendIt was used to replace a defective gas oven thermocouple (not water heater) & works as it should. Much longer than original but all thermocouples are pretty generic for most gas appliance pilot lights.
Emergency repairs
So nice to find parts when your water heater stops working. Such a big deal.
