Easy-ish fix to a pilot that won't stay lit
Would RecommendPilot light wouldn't stay lit on my ten year old 40 gallon water heater, ran out to Lowe's to get a replacement thermocouple. It was a bit tricky getting the burner assembly out to work on it, but I figured it out. This thermocouple wire is a few inches shorter than the one it replaced, so I had to improvise (it looks like an amateur homeowner fix), but it works.
