Would Not RecommendDidn’t come with big bolt to fit it just wouldn’t stay better to buy a new thermocouple set with gas tube and thermocouple together in set with the two screws and metal piece that hold it together it’s pretty difficult I wish I could get my money back but I tried to fit it with the old bolt just a pain in the bottom lol

Would RecommendThis was the only thermocouple that was available in-stock a Lowe's in Pueblo, Colorado. It was a perfect fit for our 2013 Rheem 22V40F1 40-gallon water heater. Pilot light now stays on and we have hot water again. Install was fairly easy. Cost was less than $12.

Today, 10/23/2025, I purchased/installed same thermocouple on the same water heater. It did not work, took it back to Lowes, got another, installed, water heater is working. Not a very reliable thermocouple. 70 gallon GE water heater.
