Bought 2 of these. Only 1 worked.

Of the 2 purchased, only 1 worked. Returned the other to a different store location without any difficulty. Bought another to replace it. The replacement works fine.

Review Utilitech 15-Amp 3-Outlet Lighting Timer

No problem on setup of timer. Would be nice to have a warranty for 2 yrs instead of 1 yr, and be nice to have a lit background to see the screen better.

After finally getting it programmed it would reset everyday. Wished I would of read the reviews taking it back today.

awful programing

i bought two of these for my outdoor lights. they are very difficult to program. you get a lot of options on how to work the timer but the instructions do not do a well enough job on explaining how to program the auto timer. you have to make sure that the time you want the lights to go on is after the current time that you set. or you have to wait a full 24 hours for the box to cycle for it to click on. this is not explained anywhere and almost had me returning these boxes.

Rimmer not working

Set timmer 7 days 5:07 pm on. Off 11:00 pm. In auto mode. Reset and reprogrammed twice. Still not turning lights on. Manuel mode on/off works. Even though LCD dashboard was working when programmed I'm leaving it plugged in tonight to see if makes a difference. Will try again in morning. May be returning product could be defective. Bought same model several years ago. Its heavier and feels better constructed. No problems with that one !

Found just ONE problem

I'm a professional installer for Green Elf Lighting, here in Texas. We were sold right away with these timers. They're very easy to program, reliability is not a concern. Play around with the features, it took our techs 5 minutes to fully understand the basic features. ONLY problem, if you program during your desire ON/OFF it will not work for that day. Either wait till next day so you can see that it works or change your times...its really a bummer. because we work late in the evenings hanging ...

Don't Buy - Defective Product

Purchased at Lowe's and programmed that evening, using the auto timer mode - on at 5:30 and off at 10:30. Auto function would not turn on. The manual "on" function worked, but not auto. Appears to be a similar problem others had. Returning to Lowe's.

Can we give half a star!?

I was hoping to come in here and find some obvious 'fix' that I might have been missing...But no bueno.... I made sure I plugged it in and 'charged the little internal battery' before I did the rest. Screen is horribly dim when u are programming. It is easy enough to program but then it just doesn't turn the light on. It was half price in an open package that someone else had returned, I think it will be going back. Sadly this was one of the only timer units at Lowes that showed the UL appro...

Product was more than I needed. Would like a digital timer, set on and off time and will come on and go off at the same tome each day. Setting timer each day for the entire week is too much.

Good but Funky

The timer works. I've been using it to turn an outside water fountain on and off daily for several months. The instructions and icons are a bit cryptic. The biggest problem is that you set it in the auto off configuration. If you do this during the time frame that you want it on, it stays off until it has cycled through the next off/on cycle. i.e. it doesn't turn on until the next day.

Wish I had read reviews

Despite following and RE following directions, cannot get it to come on as set. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing. Choose another timer.

Unprogrammable After a Few Months

I bought three of these at my local Lowe's store probably a year or so ago. As of now, two of them cannot be programmed in the 7-day mode. In both of them the mode and program buttons will not work. I can set the day and time with the "TIME," "+," and "-" buttons and I can select the operation with the "MANU" button, but nothing else works. Without being able to set what days and times I want the timer to turn devices on and off, all I can do is use this to leave a device on 24 hours or off ...

Item worked as expected.

The instructions and programming is a little confusing and the screen has very small indicators. Especially when choosing which setting to use for auto , ect. But has been working fine does not lose or gain time. I have had this is use for about 1 year without any issues.

Junk

I purchased this timer about six months ago. It's not particularly easy to program. It just stopped working. Gibberish on the read-out. Lights coming on in the middle of the night. No way to reprogram when the read-out doesn't show anything intelligible. Using the reset button does nothing. It's in the trash and I've ordered a replacement - different brand of course - from Amazon.

one of the worst

I purchased 10 of these timers and had to return two because they never worked.... They are supposed to be used outdoors but after the first rain I had to return another one... After another rain I now have two more that do not work... I put up around 50,000 Christmas lights most I purchase from Lowes... I thought the quality of your lights would transfer to your timers but I was wrong... I WILL never buy another timer from you again. Extremely disappointed and out almost $200, George

AS EASY AS SETTING YOUR DVR or VCR

I used this to turn my outdoor Christmas lights display on and off. It was very easy to set it up to turn on at 5:15 pm & off at 11:15 pm, then on again at 5:45 a.m., off at 7:30 a.m.. The provided directions could be a little difficult at first, but after playing around with the unit and CAREFULLY rereading the directions, I got the hang of it and can now change the program without directions. I really like this item & feel it is a high quality product at an exceptionally good price. I checked...

WOW how can this piece of junk still be at Lowes.

Checked/ confirmed my settings against the instructions five times. Did not work. I have come to expect a lot better quality from Lowe's. Please discontinue this product ASAP
