Poor quality for the price

We've had this timer for just over 3 years. I agree with other reviewers that say it's relatively hard to program, but it's doable. Regardless, last night, it essentially died, leaving the lights full on. Trying to select an "off" position wouldn't work because the readout just went plank. At first, I thought the rechargeable battery had died, but the display clearly shows the starting point time and day and is "on". But hitting the Mode button causes the display to all but disappear. Not for outdoor use of anykind

Mine recently died. I had it outside for one night. I had the device elevated off the ground and at an angle to make sure any dew/water would run off. Well, I woke up to a click noise and the device was broken. IF YOU BUY THIS realize that this is for indoor use only. I took the device apart and there is only one rubber gasket (the hole the cord goes in, which in my mind doesnt form a great seal). Every other crack and seam is just a place water gets in to burn it up. INSIDE DEVICE ONLY...

WORTHLESS PRODUCT

I stupidly have purchased 4 of these timers. Instructions are very straight forward and have followed them to a T and NONE of them work, AT ALL. I’m going back to the old fashioned timers that have NEVER let me down. Won’t even let you post a review....something is “wrong on our end”...perhaps your using your own product

Timer

Unit functions as described in brochure, and appears functionaly sound. However, the detailed instructions are very illogical and convoluted. normally i can take digital devices instructions once and may not need again. Not with this unit. I had to reprogram 5 times to get what i wanted it to do, not because it doesnt work, but because programming is VERY tedious and illogical. i would never recommend this product to buy because of user difficulties.

Horrible

I'm a professional technical writer and I would be fired if I produced instructions like these! To everyone saying the instructions are difficult to follow: it is NOT you! That said, I'm used to dealing with ridiculous text so I managed to get it programmed correctly. But although the lights came on when they should, they didn't go off! Woke up this morning to lights still on! Going to try again, but if it doesn't work tonight, this is going back.

neighbors unplugged it!

My husband is a very smart man, and followed the directions to set the timer for our outdoor Christmas lights at our weekend house, then we left for home. We had a call from our weekend house neighbor, asking if the lights were supposed to blink. My husband said, no, and for the neighbor to unplug the lights. Could not get the darned thing programmed

I give up. I am pretty computer savvy and have built I/O cards and programmed them etc. and can follow directions but when I tried to follow these the expected screens did not appear. Maybe a 10 year old could program it but I can't so it is going back

Did not last

This timer worked fine for one season. This Christmas season it will not work. It won't allow me to set the time or program it. Not worth the money if it only works for one season.

Returning to Lowe's for the second time. Display showing incorrectly on both. Will buy another brand.

Impossible to program

I could not even figure out how to set the time. When you follow the directions, the unit does not do what the instructions says it will do. Useless product.

Good digital timer

A very good digital time, but a bit confusing to program. It took me three attempts to have it function as intended - Now it is fine.

Not User Friendly

I consider myself an intelligent person, highly educated and quite resourceful. Either this product was defective or not designed properly, im returning and getting another timer with a dail. Don't waste your time or your money on this.

Good Try

I'm pretty diligent and don't give up, but this one goes in the trash. I've programmed it, reset it, changed timing options...nothing works consistently. It might perform as programmed for two weeks, then completely derail losing programming: either not coming on or not turning off. I called the company and they suggested going back to Lowe's for a replacement. Did that. Same results. Done. It seems like a good product, but has faulty components that make it a non-timer timer. Time to move...

Exactly what I needed

I was looking for a way to have the lights on my turtle habitat turn on at off at specific times while I was away. I found this product to be the perfect solution and easy to program. It has worked exactly as I hoped for.

LED did not work

Purchase this outdoor timer for string lights around and outdoor room… However unfortunately the unit did not operate correctly and it was illegible as some of the LEDs were not working properly. I return to the store for a full refund and bought the mechanical version...which I am satisfied with.

Ineffictave instructions ! ( My thoughts !)

I returned, the item purchased,because, although I am not overly brilliant, I am not totally stupid either! I read and tried to program the timer, with the enclosed instructions. After 2 days, I gave up, returned and got a refund, Then I reset my Christmas Lighting up as I have had it for years. So much for trying to upgrade, my already operating system ! I take full responsibility for my shortcomings in this project. As it is I who failed to follow the instructions as presented.
