Failed after one day in service

This frustrating unit failed after only one evening in service. Could not recommend.

Hard to read Instructions and Not Water Resistant

As soon as I got the timer I found the instructions to be hard to read and follow. With the instructions aside, I was able to get it to work for what I needed. Until it rained causing it to become very humid. The timer got water into the screen and buttons causing it to stop working. Being an outdoor timer I thought it was going to be okay but it wasn't. This is a great timer despised of all the negative comments/reviews posted. I own 4 of theses timers and have been using them for several years now. Programming is a little difficult to understand at first, but I got the hang of it. With this timer I can customize my Christmas lights to come on and off when I want. There are two versions..

There are two timers, they look very similar and are the same price but it's like night and day. Buy the one with no ridges on the front if you merely want to turn on and off holiday lights at dusk and off at a certain times. That one works well and is very easy to set, just keep in mind the areas that say program settings are for all three types of programs; choose the right one!!

Absolute Junk

Dont waste your time or money on this complete piece of junk.

Horrible interface, very difficult to program

Horrible interface design - almost impossible to program without phone support. And if you loose the instructions, might as well throw the device away. I sat in cue for phone support for 20 minutes, then was transferred to a voice mail box. I have 3 different timers from this company - all are now worthless.

Exactly what I needed

I wanted a timer that could handle the amp load of my pools 2 hp pump motor. This lighting timer is working flawlessly.

Great! So Far.

Bought this to turn my flag light on and off. Nice. Built in battery back up for clock on power loss. Turn light on and off right to the minute and hour. Love it! And I have 2 more just in case I need them.

Junk!!!!!!!

Does not keep time and program does not work when set! Total waste of money. Gonna return if possible and get a different brand! Will never buy anything this brand again

A waste...of your time & money

Programming is not reliable...if you can get it to reset. Unit only works on Manual. One of the worst products that I have purchased at Lowes. Utilitech would be better served producing Light bulbs.

Lasted 1 season

I bought it and used it for one Christmas put it in storage with the lights and stuff got it back out the next year all screens were missing numbers and letters.

Easy to use,

Initial setup was easy, but unit is somewhat pricey for occasional use.

Does not work

I programmed the timer the same night I bought it. From dusk to midnight. My Christmas lights did not turn off at midnight like I wanted it to. I read a few reviews that said to wait to program the timer during the time you didn't want it on. I did that the next day before dusk and plugged it in, and my lights automatically came on, even though it wasn't dusk yet. I called the number on the manual for help. After sitting on the phone for 10 minutes, the guy that answered said it was the wrong ...

Does not work

I bought two of these for our porch lights for the holidays. Neither of them will run the programmed time. Pieces of junk. I went out and bought the old fashioned ones that you push the tabs down on. Do not buy!! I would give them zero stars, but that is not an option.

OK but hard to set

If you read the directions and have some patience, it's not too hard to set. But with all the other stuff going on around the holidays who wants to deal with that. I would buy a different model next time.

Unreliable Timer

Became non-functional after only two seasons. Only a 12 warranty. Buyer beware!!! Lowes is a fine company but this timer is not worthy of being carried by Lowes.
