Would RecommendGreat trimmer. Easy to assemble. Light and easy to start and use. I like the fact that you can easily rotate the head 90 degrees and use as an edger.

Can't complain
Would RecommendBought this trimmer yesterday, pulled out the box put together in less than 4 minutes and filled up with fuel, primed bubble 10 times and 2 pulls fired right up. Came with 2 heads, one string/bump head and the other was aero-flex head. I've always used a bump string but I decided to use the areo flex head and I'm impressed with it. This trimmer has plenty of power when I have over 1 acre. I deffinently recommend this trimmer to anyone.
Great purchase!
Would RecommendEasy to assemble instructions. Used the premium fuel, started on 3rd pull. (Follow starting instructions). Ran it for an hour......lots of power, easy feed, easy restart. Ran against rock edge, plant line, and edgeing. No issues. Used again a week later... same great results.

Not impressed this time
Would Not RecommendI have a TroyBilt Bronco riding mower which has been an incredible piece of equipment. I also own a Troy Bilt Jet blower with JumpStart. Great Piece of equipment. So I figured I couldn't go wrong with this. I was wrong. This thing is getting returned. Problems galore! I have a very hard time putting the attachments on because the red attachment receptacle appears to be the same I.D. as the O.D. of the attachment. I have a jump start rechargable tool and it doesn't like to start. I buy th...
My 2nd Troy_Bilt trimmer
Would RecommendThe last one worked hard for 9 years. Used it with almost all attachments, including roto tiller. Still working but somehow I cracked the gas tank. Can't believe how easy it is to start this one. And no, I'm not using the battery powered starter.

Works like a charm
Would RecommendI purchased this weed whip a few weeks ago and have put it to use a few times already with no problems. It was very easy to assemble and came with 2 cutting heads. One is a traditional line cutting head and one is a aero flex cutter. It also came with oil for the gas/oil mix which can fill a 1gal gas container. After assembly and mixing the gas and oil I added fuel to the whip and then attempted to start it and with one pull of the cord it fired right up. Also, it comes with some aero flex "bl...

Pleased but frustrated
Would RecommendJust recently both this trimmer partly due to the available attachments. The trimmer itself runs like a charm, easy to start and lightweight. My only complaint is that the trimmer came with both the string trimmer and the Aero-Flex attachment. First thought was cool, saving some money. Problem is the Aero-Flex was attached to the shaft so I used that, once. I've gone through the two sets of 'blades' provided plus purchased a package of replacements which I've used half of. The plastic bl...
Great trimmer for the money
Would RecommendThis trimmer seems to be a good value for the money and seems to be well built. I previously owned a similar trimmer, the Troy-Bilt TB80EC, and this one improves over it in several respects. The engine and carb seem very similar, though in practice this one seems to pack more power. The shaft is aluminum, which saves weight. The switch operated choke makes things easier to start. The counter clockwise rotation is opposite of my last trimmer, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The easy click ...
NO PRODUCT PARTS SUPPORT
Would Not Recommendhad for about 2 years, the cylinder burnt up due to the lean carb settings for CALIFORNIA EPA. Ordered and new long block for $55 shipped to my door in 2 weeks. Called back after 3 weeks was then told it will be an additional 2 months for part. don't know about anyone else that can go 3 months without weed eating their yard. I would not buy anything TROYBILT or MTD again avoid them at all cost unless you just throw yours away when it has problems.
Not Good
Would Not RecommendIll never buy troy bolt again. I bought It on sale in the fall so store wouldn't take It back that spring. It never had any power. I finally figured out the carb is sucking air and never could get it to seal. Once I completely encased the entire carb in marine grade epoxy weld it ran better.
Starting
Would Not RecommendI really enjoy it when it starts. A lot of times once I turn it off it won't start up again so I end up with a half finished yard. If the starter worked as it should I would give it 5 starts.
Perfect middle of the road trimmer
Would RecommendBetween the weight and mobility, this is the best of them! A excellent motor at a below commercial price for a unit. Works with attachments with more power than the lower seed trimmer

easily the best I've ever owned
Would RecommendWifey bought a Worx trimmer a few months back (against my better judgment). One battery failed and the thing only worked when it wanted to. We took it back yesterday. I have just under an acre, and 1/3rd of it is 'undeveloped' except for a half dozen fruit trees. This area went gonzo with the SoCal rains this year and we had chest high weeds through all of it. The gnarly robust kind. My tree guy quoted me $1200 to whack and rake it. I bought this trimmer and one of those heads with the 3 n...
Junk
Would Not RecommendI have been through all 3 Troy-Bilt trimmer models that Lowe's sells. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have had both 2-cycle trimmers and the 4 cycle. This particular model lasted me 4 or 5 uses. I took it to Lowe's recommended repair shop. The guy told me it was unrepairable, and sent me back to Dayton Mall Lowe's, who would not take the item back. They sent to back to Troy-Bilt, whom I reached after weeks of attempts. I was sent a new Trimmer, the 4 cycle, which lasted me 4 or 5 uses be...
Returned 2 for different failures
Would Not RecommendAfter 4 hours over a weeks time the first one had a drive shaft failure and clutch failure. I went and swapped it out for another. 2 hours over 4 days and the second one just quit and wouldn't start. Total waste of time for a piece of junk.
TroyBilt XP Trimmer
Great trimmer for the money. Strong enough to cut through the grass and weeds on my 1/2 acre property. Bought the extra jump starter and it starts the trimmer for me on the first try. Used the trimmer last year and pulled it out already for this year and it started right up. Very happy with this purchase.
Troy-Bilt XP 27cc
I had the 25cc curved shaft gas Troy-Bilt. I worked it into the ground and the weed-eater attachment finally bit the dust after 18 mos. I opted to buy a new, larger model instead of trying to fix the curved shaft (that one only cost $89) ... that would still fit my attachments. I found the 27cc model to be visibly more heavy duty, but still just as usable. I am pleased with the more heavy duty model and expect it to be more durable.
Good but...
Would Not RecommendWorks like a dream when it's running and it cuts well. But I found it very difficult to remove the heads to change the kind of line I was using and to add new trimmer line. The instructions are clear but I couldn't get the line to do what the manual stated. And, after four or five uses the starter pull broke. I pulled the line and it came out in my hand, never started. Fortunately I had the replacement guarantee from Lowes and they gave me a new unit. I haven't put that one together yet because ...
Runs Like a Champ
Would RecommendEasy to use right of the box, works great with the brush trimmer and the aero-flex easy-load system.
