One season only!
Would Not RecommendBought this trimmer with edger attachment last Aug.2017...only lasted one year before it decided it wasn't going to run anymore! Also, had a severe vibration issue from day one.

Grommets and carburetor
Would RecommendI picked this unit up after returning one of the 4 cycle models, which I have reviewed. This is a weedeating monster, however, I have returned tbis model, also, due to one of the eyelets in the head coming out and disappearing to who knows where. This condition caused the string to fail, and I was left with only 1 string operation. I tried fixing it a couple of times, but it continued to fail. Also, I could not get the idle to come up to a preferred speed even though I had screwed the idle adju...

Good Product!
Just purchased as a replacement for a 4 cycle "medium duty" trimmer. Have used it once with much less vibration and much better cutting performance.

Very hard to start
Would Not RecommendThe first time I used the trimmer it took over 30 pulls to start it. The next time I was going to use it , I had to pull the starter rope over 40 times. I took the trimmer back to the store and bought a Husqvarna. It started on the 3rd pull. No more Troy-Bilt for me.

heavy and already wont hit full throttle
Would Not Recommendas stated this thing is heavy. and also after using nothing but the premix gas in a can from lowes after about 2 months of use it wont reach full throttle, i have to run it with the choke on. tried cleaning carb (not that i should given i have been using premix that is 5 or so bucks a quart. also looked to adjust the high speed carb jet, but appears to be unajustable. get a stihl.

Not bad, but less reliable than other brands
Would RecommendI have two of these - not because I like them that much or have a crew. I have two so that I always have one working. After the first season, you'll need to buy carburetor adjustment tools. After the second, the plastic cover for the air filter will never stay on without cable ties. The throttle cable breaks on the third season. You'll be replacing whole trimmer heads often. Not because they break, but because the metal eyelets will fall out when you have to open the head, and half the tim...

Troy Built
Would Not RecommendThere’s only one reason I wouldn’t recommend this. It has nothing to do with Lowe’s but on Troy Built. The exhaust is on the top so when you turn the weed eater over to edge, if your arm rests on the top you will burn yourself.
