Would RecommendI wanted something to warm up my gray and white palette in my laundry room off the kitchen to provide a space to fold clothes above my side by side front loader. This is perfect and was easy to cut and install per my contractor. We finished it with food grade oil to avoid chemicals and let it dry overnight.

Very nice except tear outs
Would Not RecommendI ordered two tops online and picked it up at the store. Everything went smoothly until i unpackaged them and realized there are tear outs, dents, and rough spots. Most of the imperfections came out with 80 grit sanding, but the tear outs in the middle were 1/8-1/4” deep. Wood filler was my fix, but very inconvenient process to go through and you can tell it doesn’t match perfectly.
Laundry Room Counter
Would RecommendUsed this for a laundry room project. Used a dark stain and 48 hour cure epoxy to seal it. Didn't have sand or treat in any other way. Came out absolutely beautiful.

Butcher Block Counters for every DIY'er

We bought the island size block and cut it down for our hunting cabin small countertop and used the left over portion for the bar counter. Easily sanded down with belt sander to get rid of the saw marks and bolted the bar height counter down with mending plates off. Still remodeling the cabin will continue the...

Butcher block
Would RecommendThis butcher block went in my laundry room. I stained it darker and did three coats of poly. It looks great. It’s very heavy need two people to carry unless very strong. One side was better than the other, way less knots. It was a good price on sale. I will buy longer piece for basement counter.

Baltic Birch Island Top
Would RecommendThis made a quick and easy island top. I finished the top with a clear poly coat and rubbed it out with furniture wax. I used decorative powder coated iron corbels for the ledge.
