Pretty top for my kitchen island.

We bought this for the top of our kitchen island. We used 3 unfinished Lowe's cabinets for the base & topped it with this butcher block. We did have to look through all of the butcher blocks to make sure there weren't any marred places or big broke out knots & It took awhile to find one that was ok. We took it too a man that has a professional saw, for it to be cut & luckily, he is a friend so that was free. GREAT VALUE CUSTOM LOOK

BOUGHT THE BIGGER PIECE FOR COUNTER ABOVE LAUNDRY, SMALLER PIECE FOR VANITY. STAINED, THEN SEALED WITH TOUNGE OIL. LOVE THE WARM LOOK OF WOOD. AT LEAST 1/3 THE PRICE OF GRANITE. COST UNDER $500.00 FOR BOTH. INSTALLED EARLY 2018 STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW, NO PROBLEM WITH MOISTURE AROUND THE SINK.

Great quality

I bought this top for a craft desk. I put 3 coats of shellac on it before use. It has a great color and wonderful quality. It is also heavy duty! It weighs 100 pounds! It will last a really long time. I love that it is 3 foot wide also.

Used this as a counter for an island I made. Was happy to be able to buy it in store the day I needed it. It did have a few dents/scratches but they’re hard to see. It looks beautiful though, especially after buffing with the butcher block grease

Baltic Butcher Block Countertop 6-ft

Very nice solid piece of Baltic Birch butcher block. The piece of wood measured 6' x 3.25' x 1.75" thick. It has a very slight round over on the edges, which is probably only about 1/8", maybe 1/16". The Slab is fairly smooth and only requires minimal sanding. I bought this piece of wood to split lengthwise down the middle to build two sofa tables. I like the way it turned out so well that I bought two more. One to make a coffee table and the second one to make a dining room table.

After installing for my wife , she wanted it darker , so i got a mohgony gel stain , stained it lightly after it dried i took steel wool and butcher block wax , also at lowes, and rubbed it into the surface . It is probably one of the prettiest pieces of wood ive ever seen.

WARPED!!!

Bought one of these yesterday, and started to unwrap it when I noticed the edge didn't look straight. Grabbed a straight edge and it was bowed by 3/8". Returned it to the store and then grabbed a straight edge and went to try to find a good one. After sorting through the 5 they had, the best one was warped a fat 3/16". Absolute junk...don't waste your time with these.

Beautiful Butcher Block

Needed something to replace an island counter top with a drop in cooktop and also add overhang for some stools for additional seating. Found this butcher block. Perfect size and great quality but still reasonable priced to fit by already right remodeling budget!

Love this Butcher Block, we have our this in our daughter’s laundry room as well as ours. Very nice look!

I was looking at installing a laminate countertop for my island but wanted a different look. Decided to go with the butcher block and stain. Easy to work with and able to join multiple pieces. Incorporated scrap piece behind the sink.
