This timer works great. I replaced a timer that stopped working and I actually like this one better than the original. Easy installation.

Timer switch

I got tired of roommates leaving the bathroom exhaust fan on so I picked up this timer switch and solved that problem, great price and easy to swap out with the old rocker switch, will definitely pay for itself in less than a year for sure, would definitely recommend for anyone who cares about how much their electric bill is.

Does the job

I like the others here did have a little difficulty figuring out how to access the screws for the switch power. It does have a fairly loud ticking for the timer if you have a quiet vent fan, as I just installed a one sone fan. But I don't feel at the moment this will be a huge factor. It works and looks nice in our new bathroom.

Easy to install, if you’re not a moron

Unlike the previous 1 star dumb-dumbs, I had no issues installing this. Maybe a 1 star review is a little harsh because you don’t know how to install something and the manufacturer doesn’t give you a youtube instruction video link with their $14 timer switch. Maybe it’s you and not the switch.

Easy Install

Easy Installation. Turn the power off at breaker, remove old switch, change wires from old switch to new switch, install new switch, turn the breaker back on. It’s that easy.

Increase time only.

The timer works well, but one cannot back it up by turning backwards if it is desired to turn the device off before the time has elapsed.

Timer runs like a clock!

The countdown timer works well. Because it is a mechanical timer it is a little noisy as it ticks away. I wish you could turn the dial counterclockwise to turn off the timer or reduce the time if you change your mind. I guess this timer will not let you travel back on time. I would buy another one if I needed it!

NOT THE BEST OPTION

Having installed numerous bathroom fan timer switches I figured they were all the same. I was wrong for at least these 2 reasons: 1. The TORK 20A Mechanical Timer MUST be installed using a Decora switch plate cover. This may not sound like a problem unless you are retrofitting the device into a multi-switch setup using an existing wallpapered regular switch plate cover. 2. The holes for the switch plate cover screws were not manufactured EXACTLY the correct distance apart, meaning that to fi...

Waste of Money

As stated, instructions are sorely lacking in details. Yes, you have to rotate/remove the face plate to access the screws. Even so, I was unable to tighten them to where the wire would not simply slide out; finally stripping the screw in the attempt. Save your $14 to use toward a better choice.

Works, but...

I installed this timer switch in my bathroom to control the fan. The instructions weren’t very clear. The switch has no visible terminal screws. The instructions clearly show the location, but the graphic must actually be a cutaway view. I had to remove the knob, keeper nut and timer face. The terminal screws were then visible, down in a couple of wells at the sides of the timer. Next time I may try a better brand.
