What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the trap's effectiveness at capturing mice alive, with many reporting catches of three to seven mice within days using peanut butter bait. The humane design strongly appeals to those opposed to lethal methods. However, significant drawbacks emerge: reviewers report false triggers with no mouse inside, mice escaping after partial activation, and bait theft without capture. Success depends heavily on proper placement and using minimal bait. While many find it effective, design flaws and inconsistent performance frustrate others, creating a divided customer base.

Would RecommendSet this trap next to the suspected living quarters of my new roommate and baited with PB. Three hours later I hear it click shut! Simple, effective, and reusable. I just hope I released the little dude far enough away from my house....
patience is key
Would Recommendpurchased two of the traps. It took two days before mouse was caught, but it kept being tripped previous days before.
Simple and Very Effective
Would RecommendI caught 3 mice within a few days of purchasing this this trap. I've used this trap before in my old house, and I tried the attractant gel that's sold separately and it didn't work at all. What works really well is a small dollop of peanut butter. Also, putting the trap along a wall works well, just make sure the open end of the trap isn't touching the wall. Otherwise the door won't close as smoothly or easily. The texture of the surface where you place the trap also effects the trap's efficacy....
Junk
Would Not RecommendTrap front piece will NOT STAY OPEN. It shuts itself as soon as I put it down, no matter how carefully. So it’s useless. Junk.
Catches but then releases
Would RecommendI had a small field mouse living in my car. We bought one of these traps and put a video camera in the floorboard to catch the activity. For two nights in a row the mouse went in the trap and got trapped in it. However both times the mouse was able to push its way out the flip door and get out of the trap. Unfortunately on the 3rd night we had to go the traditional mouse trap way in order to resolve our mouse issue. Based on other reviews this trap does work for some so I’d give it a tr...

Would Not RecommendUsed a camera to monitor the trap in my attic. Watched a mouse enter, trap engaged and a few seconds later the mouse exited. Don’t bother.

Works Some of the Time
Would Not RecommendI purchased several of these after finding mouse droppings in my furnace closet and storage rooms. I set them up as directed (no instuction sheet- just basic simple dirctions on box) and baited them with peanut butter. The first night the trap was sprung. It felt really light but I couldn't tell if it contained a mouse because of the design flaw of these traps being black. I took it to a field and...nothing. Peanut butter was all gone but no mouse, so they can obviously spring the trap on the wa...

Don’t bother!
Would Not RecommendWe live out in the country, and sometimes field mice get into the house. After many tries, I can honestly say that these are completely ineffective. So, don’t bother with these.

Mice don’t approach the traps
Would RecommendSo far only 1 trap has been tripped but the rodent managed to break out & break the door off the trap. I like the idea of live catch but I have t managed to catch & rid my house of the mouse yet & the traps have been set for a couple of weeks.

So far so good
Would RecommendI caught a mouse right away. About 5 minutes after I set it up, I heard it close. I picked it up, took it outside, opened it up, and it was empty. Before taking it outside, I set about her one in the same place. By the time I got back, I’d actually caught one. Based on other reviews here mice were able to chew their way out, I will only set it up when I’m home. It’s loud enough when it trips that I can hear it and check it right away.
Don’t buy it. Waste of money.
Would Not RecommendDid no work. Mouse pushed it’s way out of the trap.

Worked perfectly!
Would RecommendThese worked well! We had one little mouse trying to get cozy in our home and we caught it the first night we set the traps (using peanut butter). The little mouse hung on tightly when I tried to empty the trap, so at first I thought it was empty, I had to give it a few shakes, and then out came the critter. The mouse was alive and well and released to a field a few miles away.
Might be better off with another product
Would Not RecommendTried 3+ times - set off but no mouse. The mouse got all the peanut butter bait and was able to escape. Don’t know if I’m extremely unlucky or this product just doesn’t work.

Bought 3 hours ago and caught a mouse!!!
Would RecommendWorked really well. Caught a mouse in 3 hours. I used natural peanut butter. I also put it in front of the suspected mouse hole. Very well made and did the job.
Perfect Mouse Trap
Would RecommendI love these traps. They are simple to use and very sensitive so they are able to catch even the tiniest mice. I simply take them outside and release them.
Mouse out of my House
Would RecommendI've never liked kill traps (especially the traditional kind) and I'm fortunate enough to live within driving distance of wooded areas where I can trap and release without risk of return or just causing issues for the neighbors. Took a couple of days but caught the mouse and was very easy to set as well as release.
