What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the trap's effectiveness at capturing mice alive, with many reporting catches of three to seven mice within days using peanut butter bait. The humane design strongly appeals to those opposed to lethal methods. However, significant drawbacks emerge: reviewers report false triggers with no mouse inside, mice escaping after partial activation, and bait theft without capture. Success depends heavily on proper placement and using minimal bait. While many find it effective, design flaws and inconsistent performance frustrate others, creating a divided customer base.

Would Not RecommendI caught a mouse a couple f days ago, but this morning, mouse ate the cheese and didn't spring the trap.
Had No Luck
Would Not RecommendI used 4 traps in various locations in the garage. I caught one mouse in 3 weeks of use. All the traps has the bait eaten - in one of them the mouse had gnawed away the container for the bait in addition to stealing the bait..

Too many false triggers
Would Not RecommendMice kept pushing it around and causing it to trigger early. Never actually caught any and had to get something else.

Live trap - works really well on Deer mice
Would RecommendI have owned these in the past out of state and and found them useful. I bought two of another product from a competitor at the other big box hardware store and caught not a single mouse. Went to Lowes and bought the Tom Cat and caught a Deer mouse that night and another the following night. A little tricky to set, but it simply swings shuts, nothing to pinch your fingers. Black and a bit bulky, but big enough for Deer mice, which are a bit larger than house mice and easy to see if it has tripp...
mice keep getting out
Would Not RecommendSo i wanted to be humane and catch and release cause the mice are cute and i feel bad for them. HOWEVER this stupid mouse has escaped twice now last night i heard it trapped but it was 1am and i wasn't about to go get in the car and release it in a field somewhere at 1 in the morning so i waited till this morning when the sun came up only to find the trap closed but empty it was in there at 1 i saw it moving in the trap as it ran from end to end. This trap doesn't work apparently if they run bac...
Worked second time
Would RecommendFirst morning I found the trap sprung and no mouse. Peanut butter was untouched and the trap was moved. I guessed that the mouse was investigating the trap and pushed it a little, which caused it to activate. Next time I put a weight on top of it. Worked great. Annoyed but otherwise unharmed mouse was inside.
This Works.
Would RecommendDoes the job!
Didn’t work
Would Not RecommendSo to start with I’ll admit that catching mice can be tricky. I’ve had the best luck with snap traps so far but I got this to try something different and have greater odds at catching those annoying mice. I set it up with peanut butter as bait on the inside of the end cap. I found it tripped once with the peanut butter gone so I reset it. Sometime later I checked it again only to find it tripped, but the little bigger chewed his way out. Maybe you should check it more often or maybe you sho...

It works!
Would RecommendI used wire snap mouse traps. I put cheese as a bait. The cheese disappeared, but the wire snap was not triggered. I gave Tomcat Live Catch Mouse Trap a try. At night, I placed the trap under the kitchen sink and in the morning, a mouse was inside the trap.
Perfect solution for trap & release
Would RecommendWorked every time! easy set up. Happy life to the little ones released!
Worst trap ever
Would Not RecommendI've had live traps before, but couldn't find one when we had a new mouse getting into our oven. My son set up a camera, and for 3 nights watched the mouse enter and leave the trap over and over again and it didn't shut. This went on for hours, he was having a ball. And we set it up correctly. This is honestly the worst trap.

Would not recommend
Would Not RecommendI bought this trap as a way to get mice out of my garage after seeing signs that they had entered. I put peanut butter on the trap and the next day I found all of the peanut butter was gone, but the trap had not been triggered. I decided to try again and came back to find the trap triggered. I figured that it had worked this time, but it turns out that the mouse must have triggered it after exiting the trap or before entering. I would not recommend!

Too easy to escape
Would Not RecommendIt caught the mouse the second day it was out, but he escaped the trap before we could take him outside. Now he knows what it is and won't go in. Waste of money!

Worked Perfectly
Would RecommendThe mouse went in and got trapped, and we were able to release it unharmed. Now we can reuse the trap if we need to.
Does not catch the strong or smart mice!
Would Not RecommendI set up a camera to see when I caught them, to my surprise one mouse was able to push the lever open again and escape several times. I had to modify door to latch with magnets to get rid of the sucker.
worked immediately and humanely
Would RecommendIt just turned cold outside and I went under my sink to turn off the water supply that goes to the outside spigot, and a little mouse ran by me. Well I have two cats and 2 dogs so that was a surprise.... but I thought I could save him a cat death If I could catch him. I went out the same morning to buy this trap, filled the tip with peanut butter, and put it under the sink. I came back later and the peanut butter was licked off but the trap was not engaged, so I took a thin, smooth plastic cutti...
