What Customers Are Saying
The live mouse trap has received mixed reviews. Some customers found it effective, especially when using peanut butter as bait, and appreciated its simplicity and reusability. However, many reported inconsistent performance, with mice frequently escaping or avoiding the trap. Issues included the door not closing properly, the plastic parts breaking easily, and the mice accessing the bait without getting caught. Overall, the trap's effectiveness appears to be hit-or-miss, and customers should carefully consider their needs before purchasing.

Would Not RecommendFollowed company's instructions placed where there's mice activity and mice do go into trap eat the bait and then walk right back out. Wanted to perform the catch & release method but now I have to go with poison to try & get rid of mice. Don't waste your money on this product.
Small effective humane trap
Would RecommendI like that it works well. It is easy to set and the simple gravity-related triggering method is relatively foolproof. It is smaller than some alternatives, which may make the trapped mouse panic more than a larger trap would, though if one is eliminating mice then one isn't really that concerned with the psychological well-being of the mouse.
It worked!
Would RecommendAfter having zero success with Vector mice repellant, I decided to give this a go. Within 2 hours of setting the trap my mouse was caught. Not only did it work, it’s easy to handle, without fear of opening, while finding a safe place to free the mouse.
Dont work
Didnt work, mouse eat the bait and was not in the trap more than once

TomCat live catch
Would Not RecommendThis trap closes regularly with no mouse! Tried it for the past week. Trap is closed but no mouse. The claim for less false close is completely inaccurate. Really disappointed and a total waste of money, time and energy. Do not waste your money, time or energy on this crap.

Very humain and effective
Effective and reusable
Live trap humsne. Just let him out
Works just fine for "townie" mice
Would RecommendI have caught three mice with these in seven years, and now have a fourth trap set. The key to these is, you have to set the trap (bait door end) back against a hard surface, such as in a corner, so that it doesn't get pushed around when the mouse comes to visit. Sorry Tomcat, I know you sell bait for these traps, but mice love peanut butter, and will readily eat it over the Tomcat-branded bait.
Knock em dead kid
Best mouse trap design ever. Gets the little guys biggly!
Worthless

Had No Luck
Would Not RecommendI used 4 traps in various locations in the garage. I caught one mouse in 3 weeks of use. All the traps has the bait eaten - in one of them the mouse had gnawed away the container for the bait in addition to stealing the bait..

Live trap - works really well on Deer mice
Would RecommendI have owned these in the past out of state and and found them useful. I bought two of another product from a competitor at the other big box hardware store and caught not a single mouse. Went to Lowes and bought the Tom Cat and caught a Deer mouse that night and another the following night. A little tricky to set, but it simply swings shuts, nothing to pinch your fingers. Black and a bit bulky, but big enough for Deer mice, which are a bit larger than house mice and easy to see if it has tripp...
mice keep getting out
Would Not RecommendSo i wanted to be humane and catch and release cause the mice are cute and i feel bad for them. HOWEVER this stupid mouse has escaped twice now last night i heard it trapped but it was 1am and i wasn't about to go get in the car and release it in a field somewhere at 1 in the morning so i waited till this morning when the sun came up only to find the trap closed but empty it was in there at 1 i saw it moving in the trap as it ran from end to end. This trap doesn't work apparently if they run bac...
