What Customers Are Saying
The Studor Mini-Vent Air Admittance Valve is a plumbing solution that helps eliminate odors and improve drainage. Many customers report it effectively solves issues like slow drains and sewer gas smells. The valve is easy to install, fits both 2-inch and 1.5-inch pipes, and provides an affordable alternative. However, some users experienced problems with the valve not working as intended, leading to continued drainage issues or even increased odors. Overall, the valve seems to be a good option when traditional venting is not feasible, but customers should be prepared to try alternative solutions if it does not fully resolve the problem.

Would RecommendEasy to install, simple look, not a lot of space needed
well worth it
Would RecommendDoes exactly what it is designed to do. Vents sink traps, does not let sewer gasses enter house. Saves a lot of ripping and tearing running vent pipe in walls and out roof
Great way to eliminate a slow drain
Would RecommendInstalled these in both of our bathrooms to try and speed up the draining process. So far after being installed for 2+ weeks they have performing well
Highly recommended and easy to install
Would RecommendComes in two parts, one glues to a vertical pipe and the vent screws into it. That was not immediately obvious until I opened the shrink wrap. Everything after that was very simple, no problems with the vent. Hopefully it fixed the venting problem in my master bathroom.
Very easy to measure and install. Works great. Kitchenette in basement

Easy to use
Would RecommendProduct works well and easy to use on PVC and steel.

Would Not RecommendI have a kitchen sink that is not vented in the usual way and need this mini air admittance vent to handle built up gasses. The vent works well, except that it needs to be replaced once a year. An associate at the store told me this is because small particles of dust and/or insects get inside when the vent opens and prevent the vent from fully closing. I don't know if this is a design flaw or just the nature of the beast. I find it irritating.
No more back up from my washer to my sink!
Would RecommendFor years I've had some waste water from my washer backing up into my sink when my washing machine would spin to drain. I had previously thought that to use an air admittance vent I would need to run a vertical PVC pipe up through the floor beside the standpipe for the washer hose and install the air admittance valve on that pipe.
