Good price, but mainly wood chips

I planted some strawberries with this mix, and they seem happy so far. But overall doesn't retain water well, and doesn't seem to be much nutrient rich soil since it's wood chips. It's mulch without the smell

Mostly fine wood mulch, not much soil

I purchased this product due to the lower cost as I have a lot of large flower pots to fill. When I opened the bag it looks more like wood mulch than the potting soil I'm used to. I have doubts about flowers growing well in this, I doubt that it will hold nutients that are necessary for growth

Disappointed

I bought 2 bags of this, and after potting all my plants I noticed during watering time its hard as a rock and very hydrophobic. It's also quite heavy and dense. It killed my Endless Summer Hydrangea and I'm pretty upset. Now I use Miracle-Gro Moisture Control and love it! I have better control.

excellent service

My pick up was brought out timely, the gentleman was loading my vehicle another employee stopped to assist. That is team work. Excellent staff is difficult to find, you have with these two employees

Fungus in soil

The bag of soil I purchased had fungus pores in it. I re-potted some plants using it, and all of them have struggled since and there are mushrooms now growing in multiple pots. The soil itself is also very chunky. Lots of large chunks of mulch. Definitely do NOT recommend.

Great size.

Size of the bag is great. I’m able to move these around by myself.

GOOD WINTER PLANT START SOIL

I'm going to use it to start my garden vegetables in Feb. but have had good luck with it in the past.

Hydrophobic and Buggy

The other reviews aren't kidding when they say this is overly chunky for potting soil, lots of big wood chunks and sticks. it's also CRAZY hydrophobic and full of little bugs :( I regret and am currently struggling with every plant I put in this garbage soil and am contemplating if it would be better to repot ALL of them.

Not Soil!

This is the most awful stuff I have ever wasted my money on in my life. On top of that, I also wasted my money on pepper plants from Lowe's that have not grown an inch because of this stuff they call soil. My little tomato plants I started from seed have not grown an inch. This stuff gets a hard crust over the top of it and will not even absorb water! NOT POTTING SOIL MIX

Had no soil in bag, was only poor quality mulch.

Do Not Buy

This bag should be labeled as “mulch”. No real soil to speak of. I know it’s less expensive, but if you are already buying expensive plants, don’t risk it. I returned all of it.

Horrible

I thought that maybe I was the only one seeing what I saw. Now I see I am not alone. It was a bag og partially rotted wood. And I found a rock in there.

Not Potting Soil

So angry. This stuff is MULCH not potting soil. We purchased 10 bags to fill large pots. Not only did my 70 yr old husband have to load it into a cart, then into his pickup by himself with no help from Lowe's, but I feel like we were robbed. What a rip off! Lidl has large bags of mulch for $2.99, I think we paid $8.99 per bag. It's too much trouble to return. We had to go to Sam's Club and buy Miracle Grow. So sorry I didn't read the reviews BEFORE we bought it. Terrible product.

Wrong size bags loaded

I wanted the 64-dry-quart size bags, but the trolley was loaded with 32-quart size instead. I was in a hurry so I accepted the shortage, but it means I have to reorder sooner. Also, I get less for my money with the smaller bags.
