Would Not RecommendThis mix is much heavier than the comparable product from Miracle Grow. There are lots of wood chips, sticks and clumps. It would be acceptable if you're potting up robust perennials that you've just dug, but for transplanting small seedlings,I would avoid it.

Wood Chipper Mulch would be a Better Name
Would Not RecommendI bought 4 bags of this Thursday, 4/2/2026. Brought them home and had to use them to plant potatoes in gowing bags. All 4 bags were 80-90% wood chipper mulch, with a little compost thrown in. Bone dry, I decided to use this for the bottom layer in the bags, but when I watered the bags, the water ran right through without moistening most of the "soil". Now I need to go buy real potting soil, probably from a different source, so there will be real soil in the bags.
