What Customers Are Saying
The Speed-Out Bolt Extractor is a versatile tool that effectively removes stripped, damaged, or broken bolts of various sizes. The drill bits made of durable M2 tool steel allow users to drill into the bolt head, and the extractor bit can then grip and remove the bolt. Most reviewers praised the tool's ease of use and effectiveness, noting it could remove stubborn, rusted, or stripped bolts that were otherwise difficult to extract. However, some users experienced challenges like the drill bit getting clogged or the bolt head breaking off before the extractor could grip it. Overall, the tool seems to be a useful solution for DIYers and mechanics dealing with problematic bolts.

Would RecommendNot sure I would use these on very old or rusted bolts but they work great on the ones that I tried them on you could go and get them a lot cheaper elsewhere but you get what you pay for pay the few pennies extra and get these
Wonderful option for my toolkit
Would RecommendUsually I just look for my vice grips when I find a rounded off bolt, but now I have options! Try to get the bit centered before you drill the hole, but I found that it even worked off center in my test. I did have to guess which bit to find the right size, and don't burn yourself when screwing down the outer sleeve for the extractor, but otherwise worked flawlessly. Also, make sure your item is well secured.
Easily extracts stripped screws
Would RecommendEasily attachable to the drills we have and easy to use. It does take a little more effort to apply pressure to get the stripped screw out but works like a charm.
Hardly High-Grade
Would RecommendThis review is for the Speed Out brand of extractors. Specifically, the bolt extractors in sizes ¼”, 5/16”, 3/8” and ½”. The bolt extractors are made of steel with a tapping bit and a knurled sleeve. The tool is one sided with the extractor threaded around the pilot drill. The tool is used in reverse drill operation and works best when used at slow speeds. Despite being listed as high-grade steel, be careful, If the tool is used on a high-speed setting the pilot hole drill and the extraction sl...
Works well
Would RecommendSo I got this to remove some stripped bolts from a reel. Used this with a power drill with no issues. It was easy to bore a hole in the center of the bolt and drill it out. Overall, these things work well
Bolt extractor
Would RecommendThis is a great tool to have when you have damaged bolts. They cut through the head of the bolt and the you can easily extract the bolt. When I was testing it I drilled through the head, . Follow the directions and it will work fine.
SpeedOut Screw extractor
Would RecommendHandy tool for every tool box. Extractors are packaged in a plastic snap shut holder which helps keep these organized in your toolbox. Instructions are straightforward. All screw extractors work on same principle. If the screw/bolt is rusted you might want to use a penetrating oil prior to help extraction process. The extractors are for screw sizes 1/4” to 1/2”and metric 6 to 12mm. Will work with any type of drill.
When you strip out a screw these sets work
Would RecommendHandy to have the full set of 3 different sizes. You never know when you'll need them. They do work but instructions are a bit confusing. The packaging looks good, but i recommend they put the instructions in the plastic black box that holds the bits and puts the sizes for each set on the black plastic box cover. See my pictures to see what i did.
Speed Out Bolt extractor. Git er dun.
Would RecommendHonestly. Super impressed with this. For as cheap as it is, it does a heck of a job. That being said I’ve only used it once in a lag bolt. I’m not sure if I’d feel comfortable using it on a motor. Because it creates lots of fine shavings. But for extracting a bolt in a non sensitive area. It will get the job done. I was honestly surprised at how stout it is. The fact that it’s hardened this well was a welcome relief. Often these removers are mid grade junk. Not the case here. Now you need t...
A Must Have For Anyone's Tool Box
Would RecommendThis is a must have for anyone that works with screws and bolts. It is easy to use and made for a easy and quick resolve of a problem situation. I really like the container that it comes in, it's not too big, I just wish the box was labeled for an easier find in your tool box. It did NOT come with an instruction sheet, so just remember to wire brush the extractor after you use it to clean any metal in the grooves.

Would Not Recommend...Bolt extractor not so great. The screw extractors worked great. The bolt extractor broke trying to remove 1/4-inch x 1 inch lag screw/bolt from wood. The instructions were lagging. The extractor has surfaces to use a box wrench (I assume, no instruction) if the drill can't retrieve the bolt. I am dubious about the "M2 Tool Steel."
Works ok
Would RecommendReceived the Speed Out Bolt Extractor ok. Having used Speed Out's products previously I was expecting good things. Tried it out on a stainless steel bolt without success. Will still keep it handy. I do wish the case was labeled.
No success
Would Not RecommendMaybe our project is a lost cause but we’ve been trying to replace some old bolts in a backyard play set and we were hopeful with the is kit as we had successful with the other kits. Unfortunately the bolt kit wasn’t able to remove broken bolts. We followed the simple instructions but no luck here. We aren’t ruling this kit out entirely. We will try again in the future if we encounter another stripped or broken bolt.
Stong Steel Bolt Extractor!
Would RecommendPerfect extractors for those large bolts that want to be difficult. Strong steel material with a hefty bite that will help out when you get in that bind!!
The SpeedOut Micro - Damaged Screw Extractor
Would RecommendThe SpeedOut Micro - Damaged Screw Extractor Micro Version - 4 piece set works great. It makes extracting screws easy. Easy to use, great price, and great quality
Pulls bolts with stripped heads
Would RecommendI got this product to help remove a stripped bolt from an engine. Drilling out the bolt and retapping was not an option. The extractor save the day. The SpeedOut Bolt Extractors are solid tools to pull stripped or broken bolts ranging from ¼ to ½ inch. The extractors are made of M2 tool steel, a type of high-speed steel known for its excellent hardness, toughness, and abrasion resistance. The kit contains four different size extractors with a protective case and include easy to understand d...
Knuckle savers
Would RecommendWorking on cars always presents some amazing opportunities to discover these great tools. Some of these older cars have some bolts on them that will help you grow new skin on your knuckles. Thankfully, these tools help out with those bolts.
Speed-out bolt extractor
Would RecommendSpeed-out bolt extractors work just like the screw extractor sets, these bolt extractors are easy to use and make an easy tack out of removing broken bolts out of your work piece. Saves you time and money on more expensive removal processes. Harden tool steel works great for a fast and easy process.
These are sweet
Would RecommendI like these. It is even better that they come in their own little case. The case has extra room so other things can fit and it can lay flat in a toolbox. They aren't complicated to use but I wish the instructions were on the little card that can fit in the case instead of on the big card just in case for future use or other users. They work great in my drill. Overall these are great.
This tool is made with great material/easy to use
Would RecommendGreat for removal of bolts. Made of good material and very easy to use when you have stripped bolts. In addition was very well packaged and comes with a bit of flimsy case.
