Useful tool

The bolt extractor set came with 4 bits of different sizes suitable for extracting stripped bolts of sizes 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch (6-12mm). The drill bits are made of steel and are compatible with any standard drill. The extractor bits came in a box that holds all the bits in place safely.

Exceeded expectations

Ordered this to see if it works as well as it says and it exceeded expectations. Used on a new bolt, was hoping we would have a non critical one break, used a lock nut a tight as we could put it on and bolt was out in less than 30 seconds of work. Drilled a pilot hole, used burnish end, flipped bit and threads caught and pull bolt right out. Having used extractors before, I didn’t expect it to go that easy. Comes in a little plastic case to store, and lose, at the same time

Not used, but ready for when needed.

I had stripped a screw and to make things worse, I was having a hard time reaching it. I was completely screwed because I could not get it out, nor grab it with pliers, and could not cut it off. There was no room to get into where this screw was. I was giving up hope and about to use a sledgehammer. As a last resort I tried the Speedout Pro. works great as intended. did take a little muscle to get the bit to bite but once it did and i used the right size it worked no problem. This was a 3 set so that was almost. has every size needed for the job

These are great. They come in four different sizes to fit just about anything you need. Very sturdy and durable as well. They are made from M2 tool steel.

It works but is it worth it?

This bolt remover seems a bit more advanced than the screw removers we have used. It drills a hole (in reverse) on a bolt, then forward you screw the same tip to pull in reverse a third time. While it works, is it worth it? As a home owner where you have to do this once in a while it is, or if you have to remove a bolt from a piece of equipment that matters. It takes a bit of time and some playing around. The con: it takes time, if you are in construction you might find better tools. The pro: it...

Does the job

I I had my doubts that these would be durable enough to back out a bolt where the head broke off. This bolt extractor has a solid build, and the design is a little different from others I’ve used. The inner piece moves up and down the threaded shaft, which actually helps it grip better once it bites. It handled the rusted, broken bolt on my mower with no problem at all. You can really feel the difference in material quality, and I love the included case.

For when the wrench and socket set won't work

The bolt extractor came in handy in removing a stubborn bolt in our fence. It was simple to use, but slightly different from the regular screw extractor. I just kept going in reverse and it suddenly grabbed the bolt and started to pull it out! Made simple work for what a socket or wrench couldn't do. The only down side for me was when I tried to remove the extractor bit, the tip broke off, making this a one time use item this time. But the set comes with 3 other bits, so it is still a great barg...

Great Extractor

I didn't have a bolt to take out but this worked perfectly for extracting an unusual triangle shaped screw head. I followed the directions as specified and it was able to extract the oddly shaped screw perfectly. Definitely recommend this overall.

Not quite good enough

I had a 1/4-28 steel bolt sheared off and stuck in an aluminum handle. I attempted to get the bolt removed using the smallest speed out as the next size would run risk of getting into the threads. I found it difficult to maintain center in the bolt by hand. Maybe using a drill press would have helped. Once it had drilled deep enough the removal portion of the extractor did engage but before drill pressure could be taken off inorder to use a wrench and remove the bolt, the extractor shank broke. ...

Works as advertised

I tested this on a broken bolt I happened to have and it worked as advertised. In this case It backed out the bolt while I was drilling with out turning it around to the extraction end.

Easily removes stripped screws!

Works excellent and is super easy to use. Just remember to play your Uno Reverse card--everything in reverse, for both drillout and removal. Put a shank in that can match the screw insert area--in REVERSE use the drill out side clean the stripped area, applying low speed and inward pressure. Once cleaned out by 1/16", flip the drill bit to the more conal looking side and again in REVERSE and low speed, apply inward pressure and out pops your stripped screw!

Game changer

The Speedout Bolt extractor set is a must have in your tool box to remove damaged bolts. I remember in order to remove a broken bolt you either had to weld a nut to it and back it up slowly, or drill it out . Works well with any bolt
