Like the safe but struts are the Achilles heel
Would Not RecommendI love the safe for the first year to year in a half. Strut started failing and not will not open the safe. Biometric is great but I can't recommend due to the weak performance of the strut mechanics.

Electronic lock doesn't work

Great Safe Except Gas Strut Fails
Would Not RecommendI have this safe and it's great except for one major problem. After awhile the gas strut fails and the lid will barely open when you unlock it. The lid won't even clear the sides of the safe so I can't even fit my fingers underneath to lift it open. First of all this is just frustrating on a day-to-day perspective to get my gun out to go to a shooting range, but it's especially concerning if I were to need to open it in a situation where I needed my gun quickly (e.g. home invasion in the midd...

STRETCH SPRING
Would RecommendWorks Great!! .. Just use small phillps screwdriver to remove screw on the bottom of strut. swing it out then unscrew bottom of strut where philips screw goes in and remove spring and stetch it about an inch.. do it every once a year..dont be like other guy who bought 3 safes every time door would not open..LOL. Had mine 3 years now

Heavy Duty in a Compact Package
Would RecommendLove it. The biometric scan is a little tricky, as they always are, but simple to set up. The buttons are smooth and relatively quiet. The Interior is nicely padded which reduces the space a little, but still comfortably holds my compact pistol and at least two magazines.

Quick access pistol safe
Would RecommendThe safe is very well constructed of heavy gauge steel. It was easy to install and program both the lock code and my fingerprints. The safe opens automatically and with the pneumatic strut it is fairly quiet. The interior is well padded and this smaller version easily handles a small frame pistol and magazine it could probably take a full frame auto or revolver but might be tight.
