I had baby blue countertops in my kitchen, apparently popular back in the 90's, but for me ugly ugly counters. I wanted desperately to replace them with granite but right now I couldn't afford it. I bought this after reading several reviews, very skeptical it would work, but it did. Amazing results!

Very durable. Only complaint is there is a VERY strong odor when using. Purchase the scent add-in to help.

This product worked great. The smell was a little intense it last it about 8 hours.

Dried perfect! I did 2 coats and it is holding up with the strength of a regular counter.

Very pleased with product

Used it on my dining table. It was easy to put on, dried quickly and looks great. It makes it stronger than regular paint and will last longer.

Had to change a countertop color and this product along with the bonding primer worked like a charm. I really had my doubts but it is holding up very well

Soft and s waste of time.

Painted as per direction's using a foam roller. Not velour. Very thin coats. Waited 5 days. Put my razor on the counter. Woke up to my razor sink onto the paint after 5 days. It's so soft and still tacky that it's not usable. Very irritating.

We put this on our counter tops it was totally transformed. It’s not as durable as I would like but it served the purpose.

It’s good for the right situation

I used this product on my old, Formica , kitchen counter tops . Thinking they have not been updated since the 70’s and that’s a generous assumption . They may have been original from the 50’s when my house was built . They were a light , yellowish color . They were dingy looking with stains that I could not remove . 3 years on a still looking good

We bought a 1978 fixer so we had dated 70's fake butcher block Formica and one can transformed the entire room. We have a very busy kitchen (5-6 people cooking at a time) and the coating has held up! Best $20 ever spent. I degreased the surface with Krud Cutter (Original formula) and rinsed it well. Did a very light sanding with the recommended grit. I then used 90% rubbing alcohol to wipe down everything and finish removing dust from sanding. Then paint. Very happy! I am not sure why anyone is...

Wish I had found this countertop coating 3 years ago. I love how easy it was to apply, and how durable it is when dry!

12 days and still not dry

I decided to redo the bathroom vanity and countertop via rustoleum paint. First I must say it looks amazing, and even the complaints I read about the smell really made me worried, but we opened the windows and for 3 days stayed away. It looked amazing! On day 5 i said that should be goodand sat a glass container with qtips down. IT STUCK! Not to the point if ruining but enough to say we needed to wait to use the counters. We are now on day 13 and still counters are dry to the touch but anything...

Inexpensive alternative

This product makes countertops look new. It is a good alternative to replacing the countertops and much easier. It does have a strong smell so open windows.

Wish I could start over....

Tip #1: Make sure you use a foam roller and NOT VELOUR. Tip #2: Make sure you only do 2 or 3 coats at the most or the surface WILL NEVER HARDEN. It has been 12 days since I applied the final coat and I still can't set anything on top of it without it sinking into the surface. Because of how sticky the paint becomes as you're applying it, roller marks show up, which caused me the need to add more than the recommended layers. Now I'm stuck trying to wait as long as I can before putting anything on...

Horrible product ...just do not use it.

I have always had good luck with Rust-oleum products so when I discovered this Rust-oleum "Countertop Coating" at my local Lowes I thought great I will freshen up my old kitchen countertops at a reasonable cost. Lifespan < 2 months

I really wanted to like this! I actually loved it when we first put it on. Put on a coat, let dry, put on another coat, let dry, and once more. The result after the coat was beautiful, but it did not last at all. We did not suggest these counters to very rough usage at all; you can see where the paint is still intact and looks great up against our unfinished backsplash. SMELLY

In my previous home, i used 3 coats of primer, 2 coats of latex paint then sealed with a Minwax gloss sealant for floors. Lasted 5+ yrs before seeing the 1st chip. Just bought a fixer upper, thought I'd use a countertop specific paint to save time.
