not as good as expected

product does not harden up to meet any kind of countertop use. 5 days later and volatiles still very strong. i used on a table so i was able to just keep it outside. took a week before i moved it inside. then found product had still not properly cured.

WORKED GREAT FOR US

We used this on our 1980's counter tops and it was great. The smell is really bad, had to open windows and turn the fans on but as for the product itself we loved it. We love the look, the feel and had no problems. We used the foam rollers, small ones and it went on easy and covered everything. 72 hours to completely dry so don't lean on it like I did :)

Don't Buy!

I would not purchase this paint ever again. The only way to apply this paint without imperfections is to use a paint sprayer- then it also requires a special product to clean the paint and sprayer. We used a roller and it left puckering on the counter-top and then thought a paint brush would be better, but it was not. No matter what we did with the roller or paint brush it came out with puckering or areas of inconsistent coverage even after 3 coats of paint. We followed the directions with how l...

Work as advertised

Bought this product to give a facelift to an old counter top. Used a 3" sponge roller for the back splash and edging, a 6" sponge roller for the larger areas, and a 1" brush for smaller areas the rollers will not reach. You have to work smartly and efficiently, as the paint becomes sticky very quickly. Tackle the hard to reach places first and go back to fill in the larger areas. Good product to give an old counter top a new updated look.

Did exactly what I wanted!

Painted over countertop of vanity in bathroom. Covered perfectly and gave room a who,e new look.

Works Like a Charm!

This counter resurfacing kit worked like a charm. I was able to turn ugly, white counters into a very nice sandstone tint. It's waterproof, too.

Not what I was told it would be.

I bought a fixer upper and with everything else, new countertops were not in the budget. I was going to paint the countertops and cover with a layer of epoxy. The guy behind the paint counter told me not to do that and that this product would work much better that it is really strong. Was told that it is only good for six months and that it was a transition fix until I installed a new counter top.

Inexpensive and easy!

I couldn't spend the money to completely update my son's bathroom right now. This made a huge difference and it was very easy! I highly recommend it.

Lousy product, wrinkled upon second coat.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. I bought this product for my camper countertops, and the finished product isn't even satisfactory for a camper. The first coat went down fine. The second coat, however, bubbled, wrinkled, and cracked the first coat. I now have counters that look worse than when I started and the o my way to fix them is to completely strip this horrible product back off.

Don't use unless you're a professional

I am your average DIY homeowner. I've done a fair amount of painting and do a good job on walls. I also once painted a countertop with regular paint and covered it with polyurethane, and it worked well. But this product is SUPER hard to put on. I followed the direction on the can exactly, but apparently there are more instructions online--like using one stroke only, from back to front. You have to have the exact same amount of paint on your roller for every stroke, and it get tacky so fast that ...

Horrible

We used this on our uglybred countertops and did as directions stated, our countertops look great from afar but don't look close you will see where it's flaming off all over the most used areas. And inwe set anything remotely heavy and a non smooth surface you will see permanent dents in it! Don't waste your money!

Horrible finished look - don't waste your time

I have never been one to write a review, much less a negative one, but I took on this weekend project to save myself 10 grand in new counter tops by using this so called quick fix. Fast and easy

Recently used to resurface our rental countertops. It was fast and easy. I was skeptical for being so low priced and such a little amount. We did 30 ft of counters with three coats.use the foam rollers as prescribed but be gentle or they will come apart and leave you little bits in the top coat. Also just did to bathroom countertops. Great product. Even better than their kit with the flakes and cheaper too.

Takes longer than 3 days to cure

I used this product on the counter in the bathroom. Followed the directions and did two coats. First it is thick, very pungent and covers well. After 3 days we placed the bathroom accessories back on the counter and the bottoms left marks. Maybe because they were plastic, not sure. But after letting it dry another day the accessories still left indents in the counter, so I changed them for felt bottom ones. That's seems to working fine. This product is horrible!

If there was a 0 star rating thats what i wouldve choosen. I dropped a plastic spoon from maybe 2 feet above the counter & it chipped down to the original counter top. Put a couple plastic bags on counter for a couple mins & when i picked bags up chips lifted off. I followed directions to a T. Now i have to sand this worthless stuff off & start over with another product. No wonder its only $20 a quart. Dont use this stuff.

Worked REALLY Great!!

I redone my small kitchen area and was very reluctant to do the job. But after getting started, it was smooth sailing!! Very easy to work with, especially with the right tools!! Just make sure if you get the paint on other surfaces, get it off quickly or with some rubbing alcohol, and have enough ventilation! My countertop looks amazing!!!

Still good after a year and a half

I used and reviewed this product a year and a half ago. I gave it only 3 stars at the time because of the bad smell, the long drying time, and the difficulty with the finish being splotchy (looking glossy in some places and matte in others). The splotchy problem was solved with using a polycrylic topcoat. Provides Great Aesthetic Upgrade

This product provides a great aesthetic upgrade/look to old bathroom countertops for a very reasonable cost. There is definitely a technique to it. I recommend wetting a 4" roller first before dipping into paint finish. Depending on how 1st coat comes out, you'll probably want to use less water in 2nd coat, but make sure and spread evenly throughout. Also, fumes are extremely strong.
